Lawmaker, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has flagged off the construction of 1.6km Lambo Lasunwon road Ikorodu. This coincided with his 52nd birthday celebration. The road makes it the 45th roads facilitated for his constituents. The road was said to be completed in the third quarter of year 2024. In his eloquent remarks, Benson highlighted the significance of Lambo Lasunwon road to the economic development of the axis while equally demonstrating his strong commitment to community welfare. Benson, who was ably represented by the DG of iCare Foundation, Mayor Muhydeen Sanwoola, also unfolded  plans for future development, adding that the potential construction of Agbede road is intact, while residents are required for smooth and prompt execution on all ongoing projects. Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA , on Monday, distributed over 10,000 food packs to vulnerable households across the 98 wards in the 16 Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs and Local Government Areas, LGAs in the district. Abiru, explained that the gesture has become necessary because it would be a smack of crass insensitivity for him to throw a social party, entertaining guests when most of the people were struggling to meet their basic needs, particularly food amid the current economic challenges. The Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions , Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA  of Lagos East Senatorial District, has emerged as the Chairman, Southern Senators’ Forum. 54 Senators from the 17 Southern States unanimously elected Senator Abiru as their Chairman.  Senator Abiru, an accomplished economist and accountant, had a stellar  career in banking, ultimately reaching  the pinnacle of his profession as the Managing Director of Polaris Bank, before he retired in 2020, and later joined the race for the Lagos East by-election contest. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has again repeated his monthly gesture of giving another set of food items to over 500 vulnerable constituents in Ikorodu.  The March 2024 edition was held at his constituency office in Igbogbo, where beneficiaries were presented with these consumables. The iCARE Foodbank is an initiative of Rep. Babajimi Benson’s iCare Foundation that distributes, on monthly basis, food and grocery products to individuals and vulnerable families within Ikorodu Division.
