JOY, COMMENDATIONS AS JIMI BENSON BREAKS 40 YEARS JINX, FLAGS OFF RECONSTRUCTION OF 13KM ORETA/OFFIN ROAD IGBOGBO. | Shakiru Seidu. ....It'll be completed in 9months, Contractor reveals.

It was commendations and praises galore for Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR all through, from the elated residents, Monarch and Community leaders in Igbogbo, when the erudite lawmaker broke the 40years jinx of the long delapitated Oreta/Offin Road Igbogbo, Lagos, by flagging off the construction.

Some of the residents and Party Leaders, who spoke with Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression News during the flag off, commended the lawmaker for his gestures and impactful representation.

In his eloquent remarks, the former SSG, Lagos State and Member of the Governance Advisory Council GAC, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, commended Jimi Benson for his unprecedented representation. He urged him to maintain the pace and urged the youth to encourage the contractor for quick delivery.

Also in the same vein, the former Deputy Governor and Member of the Governance Advisory Council GAC, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, equally applauded Rep. Benson for the job well done. He said his performance has no doubt increase the confidence in Constituents.

Former Commissioner for Agriculture and APC Apex Member, Ikorodu Division, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, described Jimi Benson as a proud Ambassador of Ikorodu Division. He reiterated that JB has truly boosted the confidence of the people on the government of APC.

According to the former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture and Member of the Seventh Assembly, Lagos State, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, "As at January 2024, Igbogbo Passport Office road was flagged, facilitated by Rep. Babajimi Benson. Ths is another flag off of Oreta)Offin road, within the space of 2months by the same man. We can't thank you enough for what you've done for us JB"

Meanwhile, the Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Daini, appreciated Rep. Jimi Benson for his uncommon representation. "I want to make it clear that this road will ease the transportation of people, and also, it will be beneficial to 51 CDAs (13 from C1 & 38 from C3). This road will also aid the theme agenda of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. It will also improve the marine business and add value to properties.

"I want us to know that about 10mins away from Offin is Banana Island and 12mins on water away from Oreta is Ajah. So, the major thing that stands as a disadvantage for Offin/Oreta is the bad road," Daini opined.

 "JB, you have added value unknowingly to the Theme Agenda of Governor Sanwo-Olu and the people of Ikorodu Division. I say thank you. Some months ago, the Governor opened a ferry terminal in offin and the ferry terminal has been under utilized because of the bad road. I stand to say that Lagos State waterways will record one of the highest patronage and commuters from that place in Lagos State with what you have done", Daini submitted.

Hon Aro Moshood Abiodun AMA of Ikorodu Constituency 2 and Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye of Ikorodu Constituency 1, were equally applauded Rep Babajimi Benson, for his unprecedented representation. "I am so proud of JB and his anticident worth of emulation," AMA opined.

The MD GRV Construction Company, Mr Jimoh Rauf, assured the residents that the road would be completed in December 2024. "I want to beg the youth to please assist us in making the work achievable and I believe by God's grace, it will work. All I ask for is the support to make sure that I achieve the goal and by God's grace, ending of December, we should be through with the road," the Contractor pleaded.

In his pleasant remarks, the articulate Lawmaker, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, thanked the Community Leaders and large crowd in attendance, promising not to relent in his quest for development. 

"This 13km road, the contractor GRV has promised us that by the end of December the road will be fully motorable with Street lights and it will be connected to Jetty. I therefore implore the youths and everyone to please allow the contractors do their job. Also, give them the support they need to get the job done," Benson appealed.

In his Royal remarks, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Barrister Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, expressed sincere gratitude to Rep. Babajimi Benson for his love for Igbogbo and Ikorodu Division at large.

"If as at last year, someone said this road will be done this year; no one would believe. But God did it miraculously. What we are seeing today through the hands of Rep. Babajimi Benson is indeed a thing of joy to everyone.

"I want to thank JB on behalf of our people and also to implore him to continue to remember us for more things like building of more schools, rehabilitation of schools, primary healthcare centers, employment opportunities,and so on," the Monarch said.
