The three-day Leadership Development Seminar for about 170 Political Office Holders across the six Local Government and Local Council Development Areas of Ikorodu Division ended on Sunday, September 20, 2026, with participants challenged to embrace purposeful leadership, responsible governance and service beyond political office. The Day 2 session of the Leadership Development Seminar provided no fewer than 170 political office holders with an insightful and practical exploration of transactional and transformational leadership, with particular emphasis on decision-making under pressure, conflict resolution, team cohesion and the responsibilities of public office holders before, during and after their tenure. The session featured the DG of iCARE Foundation,  Mayor Deen Sanwoola as the Quest Lecturer, who brought the subject to life with practical examples and real-life leadership scenarios. No fewer than 170 political office holders from the six councils in Ikorodu Division have commenced a leadership development seminar designed to strengthen their capacity for responsible governance, effective representation and service within their respective mandates. The participants comprise Vice Chairmen, Councillors, Secretaries to Local Governments (SLGs), Chiefs of Staff, Supervisors and Special Advisers from Ikorodu Local Government, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Ijede LCDA, Ikorodu West LCDA, Ikorodu North LCDA and Imota LCDA.
