2 YEARS AFTER: IGBOGBO ULTRA MODERN TOWN HALL LAND ISSUE RECEIVES CLEARANCE, AS I.D.E.A OVERCOMES BARRIERS. | Shakiru Seidu. ...Sets to commence work immediately, in preparedness for 2024 Igbogbo Day Celebration.

The long awaited 3 acres of land issue that's delaying the erection of the Igbogbo ultra modern Town Hall has received a green light. This was after a concrete agreement was reached among the Tolaram Nigeria Limited, the Families and Igbogbo Development Association, on Friday, August 16, 2024.

The meeting that held at the Adeboruwa Palace Igbogbo, with the consent of His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, had in attendance the Secretary of IDEA, Engr. Toyin Oduntan, Principal Member IDEA, Mr Tunde Afuwape, Counsel to the Families, Barrister Tajudeen Agoro, Vice Chairman Igbogbo Day Working Committee, Alhaji Sheriff Jinadu, Treasurer Igbogbo Day Working Committee and MD, Sula Bread, Alhaji Adekunle Sulaimon, CEO MegaXpression Media, Mr Shakiru Seidu and IDEA Surveyor, Mr Olalekan Aina.

Speaking with Engr. Oduntan at the site, after the 3 acres of land were caved out, the IDEA Secretary said HRM Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and Odofin Tajudeen Alade Onasanya have been working tirelessly on the possibility of acquiring the 3 acres of land for the development of Igbogbo Kingdom, stating that Kabiyesi had to open talk between the families and Tolaram Company, in order to release land for the community to use for developmental purposes.

"After several meetings for the past 2 years, Tolaram has now agreed to give Igbogbo Kingdom the 3 acres of land requested. The survey for the 3 acres has been prepared. We have also gotten the Deed of Assignment. While our surveyor and their surveyor are on sight to establish the 4 corners of the 3 acres of land. So, by the grace of God, the next Igbogbo Day will be celebrated at this new site.

"What we intend to use the land for is Igbogbo ultra modern hall, Igbogbo High Court, Igbogbo General Hospital, and some other government establishments that will later comes in.

"On the family issue, the company has settled 50 percent of the total entitlement, which is been given to them. The next 50 percent will be released by the company very soon, as Barrister Tajudeen Agoro has assured us. By the grace of God, the family will receive their remaining 50 percent," Engr Oduntan narrated.
