Igbogbo Development Association, I.D.E.A, and the Planning Committee of Igbogbo Day, have distributed 10,000 medical face masks to the residents of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA of Lagos State, to curb the spread of Coronavirus. Speaking exclusively with MegaXpression Community News, the Chairman, Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, Mr Gbenga Faniyi, stated that the I.D.E.A/ Igbogbo Day Planning Committee distributed the masks to assist and support the residents of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and the Government of Lagos State in eliminating this pandemic through curbing community transmission. “As part of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the I.D.E.A and Igbogbo Day Committee have made distribution of 10,000 medical face masks to the residents of our communities, with a commitment to donate another set of face masks to needed entities in the coming weeks," Faniyi said. Save-A-Girl initiative has again joined other well meaning Nigerians and the Government of Lagos State in rolling out anti- pandemic and relief efforts on COVID-19. The latest is its support of the Lagos State Government’s recently launched initiative #MaskUpLagos, to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria. HRM Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu and Paramount Ruler of Ikorodu Division, has applauded the gesture of Oriwu Club Ikorodu, for donating relief materials to the less privileged in Ikorodu, as part of efforts to cushion the effects of the lockdown over the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus pandemic. For distributing relief items to the underprivileged in Ikorodu, the Monarch said the gesture will ameliorate the difficulties forced on the globe by the COVID-19, saying the development has affected the people without social advantage. COVID-19: LAGOS LAWMAKER, HON. NURUDEEN SHOLAJA- SAKA DISTRIBUTES ADDITIONAL 7,000 RELIEF PACKS TO CONSTITUENTS. ...Says it'll help in bringing relief to the people of his constituency.

A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja- Saka, has distributed additional 7,000 relief materials to his constituents to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has earlier distributed 3,000 food items for his constituents in the month of April. The MegaXpression Community News reports that Sholaja- Saka, representing Ikorodu constituency II at the State Assembly, distributed the items on Friday for the vulnerable, youths, religious and political groups, CDAs, Market men and women across Ikorodu Constituency II. In an exclusive interview with the MegaXpression News, the lawmaker said the gesture would also help in bringing relief to the people of his constituency during the holy month of Ramadan. He urged the recipients to use the items to improve their standard of living and those of their family members.
