COVID-19: I.D.E.A DISTRIBUTES 10,000 FACEMASKS TO RESIDENTS OF IGBOGBO/BAYEKU LCDA. It's aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19 within our community, Gbenga Faniyi, Chairman Igbogbo Day reveals.

Igbogbo Development Association, I.D.E.A, and the Planning Committee of Igbogbo Day, have distributed 10,000 medical face masks to the residents of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA of Lagos State, to curb the spread of Coronavirus.

Speaking exclusively with MegaXpression Community News, the Chairman, Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, Mr Gbenga Faniyi, stated that the I.D.E.A/ Igbogbo Day Planning Committee distributed the masks to assist and support the residents of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and the Government of Lagos State in eliminating this pandemic through curbing community transmission.

“As part of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the I.D.E.A and Igbogbo Day Committee have made distribution of 10,000 medical face masks to the residents of our communities, with a commitment to donate another set of face masks to needed entities in the coming weeks," Faniyi said.

The distribution which were done inside the Pavillion of late Oba Johnson Olatunji Fatola, at Adeboruwa Palace, Igbogbo, were given to the market men and women, traditional Chiefs, Muslim and Christian Community, Artisans, CDAs, Road Transport Association, Baales, Youths, Groups, Associations, amongst others.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland.
