IKORODU MONARCH, OBA KABIR SHOTOBI, OTHERS TAKE VACCINE AGAINST COVID-19. It'll protect, prevent from being a carrier of deadly virus, Oba Shotobi reveals.

On Monday, March 15, 2021, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, HRM Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, his wife, Olori Kudirat Shotobi, Agbakin of Ikorodu, Otunba Ayodele Elesho, among others received Covid-19 vaccine at Ayangburen palace Ikorodu.

While speaking with MegaXpression Media, Oba Shotobi  appreciated the medical team from the local government for taking this exercise seriously and are very much in complaince with the Covid-19 process by maintaining social distancing, washing of hands regularly, sanitizing of hands and using of face mask.

"The process has been a unique one because I experienced that of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, the executive Governor of Lagos State and in line with the traditional leaders. I have therefore taken the vaccine and I do not feel any harm that I am being injected. So it is a seamless efforts for people to get if they are at the corridor to get it.

"I have seen the pros and cons of what is called Covid'19, I have gone through it and I survived it and I thank God that I survived it and am still in line to take the vaccine. I have taken it and am comfortable with it, so I will likewise want everyone also to take it," the monarch said.

"And to the people of Ikorodu, prevention is better than cure, and it's a preventative measure and it's all over the world because they have seen the light of it and they gave the approval by the World Health Organization (WHO). So everyone must have that zeal of taking the vaccine because it will help to protect us and prevent us from not been a carrier of spreading the virus.

"Taking this vaccine does not elude someone from not contacting the virus but ignorance is a disease so beseech you all that once you are opportune of taking the vaccine please don't hesitate to take it and surrender yourself," Oba Shotobi urged.

The monarch further advised residents of Ikorodu Division that has the opportunity to take the vaccine to do so. "The purpose of this vaccine is to eradicate Covid-19, not that we don't experience the pandemic anymore but we pray to Almighty God to make sure that we are not involve with the virus any longer," Oba added.
