The Chairman of Igbogbo Oldies Appreciation Game, Omoba Ademola Ogunlewe, has told those aspiring for Chairman to put Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA above other interests in everything they do.

Ogunlewe gave the counsel when he visited Shakiru Seidu, a Chairmanship Aspirant in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA in his Igbogbo office recently.

“Your belief in having a better Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA featured very prominently. I am convinced with your words. What you always talked about is Igbogbo and its environs. I want you to keep it up, for the benefit of our LCDA and generations yet unborn sir,” Ogunlewe said in reaction to the comments from the host, Shakiru Seidu.

He assured that the youth will support development and charged for unity of purpose among the Contestants. “So long as you stay on the course of promoting Igbogbo all the time, making it a conducive business environment, the people will deliver”.

"On the coming Oldies Appreciation Game, this is the 12th Edition, and as our media partner and also one of our Stricker, we are here for more effective collaboration. So, we're having our press release on Saturday, 13th April, while the grand finale will come up on 20th April.

"Sport is a huge part of a community. No matter what you do in the community, you can't separate sports from there", Ogunlewe concluded.

Earlier, Shakiru Seidu had said he hosted the OAG Chairman, Ademola Ogunlewe in his office as part of their consultations; going round, talking to elders and political stakeholders”.

Seidu said the IreOtun team felt that the Sports Ambassadors in Igbogbo should be briefed, as sporting activities will play a key role in their agenda in 2025. 

"We are taking Youth and Sports very serious in our program, because apart from other areas, this is an avenue to engage our youths in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA. We will be holding different sports activities annually," Seidu revealed.
