WE MUST KEEP FOCUS TO DEVELOP IGBOGBO COMMUNITY, SHAKIRU SEIDU CHARGES STUDENTS' UNION. ...Seeks for Support in 2025 Chairmanship Election.

Chairmanship Aspirant in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and a Lagos based Journalist, Mr Shakiru Seidu, has charged the Igbogbo Students' Union to focus more on the growth and development of Igbogbo community anytime they are opportuned to do so. 

Seidu emphasized this when the Students Union paid him a courtesy visit at his Igbogbo office.

The former Senior Legislative Aide at the Lagos State House of Assembly and former Special Adviser to Council Chairman, insisted that the only way Igbogbo community can be more developed is through commitment and to do away with personal interest. "We must look beyond our personal interest whenever we hold public offices," Seidu opined.

He further enjoined the youth to support his Chairmanship Ambition in 2025. "Igbogbo belongs to all of us and together, we'll make it great," Seidu added.

Earlier, the Igbogbo Students' Union President, congratulated Shakiru Seidu and applauded him for making Igbogbo and Ikorodu Division proud in the recently given Award.

The President highlighted his achievements of five months as a union leader, noting that Children Education Week will come up between 25th May and 1st June 2024, with lots of programmes.

He further pleaded to Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative, IDPIL, to consider bonafide members of Igbogbo Students Union in the ongoing Bursary of the group. "We'll approach our mummy, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Chairman Committee on Bursary, on our request", the President stated.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
