KUDOS AS REP. BABAJIMI BENSON DISTRIBUTES 1,000 SOLAR LAMPS TO 20 SELECTED SECONDARY SCHOOLS STUDENTS IN IKORODU. | Shakiru Seidu.

The Lawmaker, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Defence, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR, has been commended once again for partnering with other organisations to bring succour to students of 20 selected secondary schools across Ikorodu federal Constituency.

Benson distributed 1,000 lamps to students through the support of SCI Altar Energy and Access Bank. Other supporting partners are Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rite Foods and Airtel.

This is also part of Benson’s larger initiative to light up every households in Ikorodu federal Constituency. He has been giving out solar-powered lighting systems to households, religious houses, Markets and many places across the Division.

The solar lamps were distributed as an education intervention  to assist the students in lighting up their homes, do their assignments, build life long study discipline, improve school performance, use clean energy and enjoy healthy environment.

The Principal of Oreyo Senior Secondary School, while responding to MegaXpression Correspondence, applauded Benson for his consistence support on education in Ikorodu Division, lamenting the negative effect of poor access to electricity by many Schools, which has hindered academic progress and growth.

Also, the Principal of Shamsideen Junior Grammar School, Ikorodu, Mrs Kadijat Bolatito Adedeji, expressed her admiration for Rep. Babajimi Benson’s solar energy initiative aimed at enhancing education. She emphasized that the implementation of solar energy will greatly benefit students, enabling them to comfortably complete their assignments even at night, which may have posed challenges previously.

Mr Adedoyin Adele Fadipe, CEO of SCI Altar Energy who was ably represented, stated that Benson’s energy initiative shows a dedication to improving education and the lives of students in Ikorodu. Adding that the erudite Lawmaker is working together with both Government and private organizations to tackle local issues and promote community growth.

Meanwhile, Adeleke Oluwaseun, a student of Yewa Senior Grammar School, extended a special thank you to Rep. Babajimi Benson for providing him with the solar light, noting that it will enable him to study effectively at home without the hindrance of light.

The selected Secondary Schools benefitted include: Imota Community Junior Grammar School, Isiu Senior Grammar School, Community Senior Secondary School Imota, Ifelodun Junior high School Oke Agbo, Gberigbe Community Senior Secondary School, Ikorodu Junior Grammar School, Elepe Senior School, Luwasa Senior High School, Abule Eko Community Junior high School, Yewa Senior Grammar School Ikorodu, Majidun Community Senior Secondary School, Ipakodo Senior Secretary School, Yewa Junior Secondary School, Ayangburen Junior High School, Odogunyan Senior Grammar School, Odo Kekere Community Junior Grammar School, Shamsedeen Junior Grammar School,Oreyo Senior Secretary School Igbogbo, Zumratul Islamiyyah Junior Grammar School Igbogbo and Keme Balogun Junior School Ibeshe.

Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
