IKORODU BORN, BAYODE TREASURES-OLAWUNMI BREAKS GUINNESS RECORD IN LONGEST MARATHON READING ALOUD. | Shakiru Seidu. Jimi Benson, Bank Olemoh, Saheed Ibikunle, Folashade Oba, Deen Sawoola, Shakiru Seidu, others, applaud the zeal and determination.

Mr Bayode Treasures-Olawunmi has set a new Guinness Record in the “Longest Marathon Reading Aloud” Category, on Saturday, 3rd of March, 2018. Mr Bayode, a father of three kids, logged 120 hours at 3:30pm at Herbert Macaulay Library, Yaba in Lagos State, beating the previous record set by Nepali Deepak Sharma Bajagain, who reads for 113 hours 15 minutes in 2008. Bajagain’s book reading began on September 19 and ended on September 24, 2008. He recited 17 different books from 13 authors during his record attempt.

Mr Bayode Olawunmi: sets a Guinness Record in ‘Longest Marathon Reading Aloud”. He began reading at 1:30 pm on Monday, February 26, 2018 and ended it 3.30pm on Saturday.

The reading which was ended in grand style saw Mr Bayode Treasures-Olawunmi reading aloud for 120 hours non-stop. Mr Bayode studied at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree and Comprehensive High School, Ketu in Lagos. “I have always loved to read good materials right from when I was in secondary school. I am doing this for the youths,” he disclosed to MegaXpression Magazine before he began the record setting reading marathon.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
