The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, has declared President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of the Presidential Election held on Saturday the 23rd of February, 2019. Professor Yakubu made the declaration at the end of the national results collation held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, Nigeria's Capital. He however, noted that President Buhari has met all requirements of constitution and is hereby returned. President Muhammadu Buhari had a total vote of 15,191,847 to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party's candidate, Atiku Abubakar who had a total of 11,262,978 votes.
