REPS ELECTION: BABAJIMI BENSON OF APC WINS IKORODU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY WITH WIDE MARGIN. | Shakiru Seidu.

Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Sunday emerged winner at the Ikorodu Federal Constituency of Lagos State, in the House of Representatives election held on Saturday, February 23, 2019. INEC Returning Officer declared results at the Ikorodu Collation Centre.

JB, as he's popularly called by numerous followers, won by getting 42,963 votes while Disu Ramota Omotola of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, came second with 19,825 votes.

Babajimi Benson won the PDP candidate with over 20,000 different to emerge victorious.

Other candidates and their scores are listed below:

Ezeobi Ngozi Ebele, a female and candidate of A party – 47 votes.

Bakare Ahmed Temitayo, male, AD – 180 votes.

Arinze Chris Ibinayo, male, ADC – 360 votes.

Ijaola Odunayo Oluwaseun, female, CAP – 011 votes.

Ogunsami Ogunsanmi Emmanuel, male, MPN – 024 votes.

Olayiwola Adams Olawale, male, PPN – 010 votes.

Aremu Benson Atinuke, female, PT – 010 votes.

Nfon Ini Osikoya, male, SDP – 068.

Wumina Oluwakemi, female, YPP – 208 votes.

Maximum votes were also given to the APC presidential candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC senatorial candidate, Hon Bayo Osinowo, by the good people of Ikorodu LG, Igbogbo/Bayeku, Ijede, Imota, Ikorodu North and Ikorodu West LCDAs.

Former Minister and GAC member, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe , has denied reports claiming he endorsed Hon.
