Residents of Apakin/Gberigbe Community in Ikorodu Local Government, at the weekend leaped for joy as Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, Commissioned A-500KVA Transformer donated to Apakin/Gberigbe CDA in response to their Agitation.

For so long, the community had been in darkness due to unavailability of transformer. Residents' several efforts to draw attention of relevant authorities to their plight had proved abortive.

Hon Babajimi Benson, who made the donation said that the gesture was in line with the demands of the people. He said that the transformer is being installed at strategic location to check the erratic power supply in Apakin/Gberigbe CDA and its envrions.

The erudite legislator also disclosed that his office and the entire iCARE Team had embarked on various programmes since 2015 to improve the condition of the people of Ikorodu federal constituency. He used the occasion to assure that he'll always keep to his words when re-elected, stressing that promises made to the people must be fulfilled to bring government closer to the people.

Speaking with one of the CDA members, the gesture of Babajimi Benson was described as unique in the area, stressing that the lawmaker had shown an example that must be emulated by both elected and appointed representatives of the people.
