BABAJIMI BENSON, NURUDEEN SHOLAJA-SAKA VISIT SURULERE ESTATE CDA IGBOGBO, ASSURE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. | Shakiru Seidu.
A member of House of Reps, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency, Hon Babajimi Benson and Lagos State House of Assembly member, representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, have assured Surelere Estate CDA Igbogbo of their determination to bring infrastructure development to the Igbogbo community.
Speaking during a meeting with the members of the CDA, the erudite legislator, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, said his visit was meant to show gratitude to the people as well as outline areas of need in the days ahead. In his words: “While I am here is to appreciate everyone who has contributed in no small measure in ensuring that the people’s wish was not subverted by enemies of democracy, I want to use my office to put smile on the faces of my people,” he said.
Benson, who agreed that the road in front of Chief Adenrele Olowu's house was a local government road, assured that it would be considered in the next local government road projects. He also promised to facilitate one transformer to the CDA, as requested in six month's time.
Also speaking at the meeting, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka thanked the members of the CDA for their unflinching supports, added that he will as usual pally with Hon Babajimi Benson to meet the needs of the CDA.
Sholaja-Saka enjoined the unemployment youth to apply online whenever Lagos State government is recruiting and submitted the print copy to his office. He thanked Chief Adenrele Olowu for his guidance and fatherly role towards their career.
In his response, the Surulere Estate CDA Vice Chairman, Alhaji Ganiu Alade, who had earlier narrated the efforts of the past Surulere CDA leaders in his opening speach, applauded the good gesture of the two legislators for finding time out of their busy schedule to visit the CDA, which he described as a quality of good leadership.
He prayed God to protect the lawmakers, however, said transformer, completion of Olowu Street and employment opportunities for their children should be giving priority when both re-elected.
Chief Adenrele Olowu, Alhaja Adeshina and the owner of Homat Group of Schools, Alhaji Olawale Amusa, were also applauded the spirit of Hon Babajimi Benson and Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka, assured them of their supports during the forthcoming elections. "I will also assist Hon Babajimi Benson and Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka in the needs of Surulere Estate CDA", Homat said.
