IGBOGBO MONARCH HOSTS LAGOS IJEBU OBAS, APPLAUDS UNCOMMON UNITY AMONG ROYAL LEADERS. ...Council Head, IDEA Executives, Community Leaders, Others, in attendance.

His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, hosted again, the Traditional Rulers of Ijebu-Speaking Communities in Lagos State, at his Palace in Igbogbo, Lagos State.

The Palace was full to capacity, as the event was graced with the presence of the Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, Member Lagos Seventh Assembly, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Palace Chiefs, led by Chief Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, members of Ijaolu Ruling House, Owner of Sula Bread, Alhaji Adekunle Sulaimon, one of the Chairmanship Aspirants in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Mr Shakiru Moritan Seidu, SMS and other notable personalities.

The Forum which was aimed at promoting the unity, peace, and friendship among the rank and file of the established traditional institutions in Lagos State, was also established to reflect and strengthen the cultural homogeneity of communities in the Lagos East Senatorial District and shall be a further boost to the rich cultural context of Lagos State.

The discussions were held behind a closed door and was presided over by HRM Oba Mudashiru Ajibade Bakare Agoro, Ranodu of Imota, after the Chairman, HRM Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom was unavoidably absent.

A new Chief Imam for the Igbogbo Central Mosque has been installed. He is Fadeelat Imam Abdulganiu Gazali , who was turbaned on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, as Chief Imam of Igbogbo Central Mosque and Grand Chief Imam Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA. He succeeds the late Fadilat Sheikh Dhikirulahi Abdulahi Andu (Tanimose) who died on the 2nd of June, 2025. Gazali , before his installation, was the Chief Imam Araromi Mosque , Itun-Abosan. He is from Amoju branch of Lantan Onanusi Family, Igbogbo, and was graduated from different Arabic and Islamic Colleges. Abdulganiu was turbaned on Tuesday by the Ulamas in the Central Mosque, Igbogbo.
