CDC IGBOGBO/BAYEKU LCDA ORGANISES 5-DAY EMPOWERMENT SCHEME, KICKS OFF BY CHAIRMAN DAINI IN GRAND STYLE. It's aimed at reducing the level of unemployment in our society, CDC Chairman reveals.

A 5-Day free empowerment program which was organized by the CDC Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, under the chairmanship of Elder Muda A.O Olowu, commenced on Monday, September 2, 2019, and to last till 6th of September, 2019 at ICT Centre, Igbogbo Sports Stadium. Make-up and Gele, Cakes, Snacks & small chops as well as tie and dye are the three(3) basic skill the youths will be taught during the period of learning.

The programme which was sponsored by the CDC Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA with the assistance from the Council Chairman, Comrade Olusesan Daini, was organized to create job opportunities in the LCDA.

The Chairman, Comr. Daini, in his eloquent speech said, most people that go to learn or acquire skills end up not doing anything tangible with the skills they’ve acquired because they just want to have the knowledge and not practice it.

Daini, who was ably represented by his vibrant Vice, Mr Titilola Adegboyega, revealed that the problem we are going through in our world today is the problem caused by the youths. "In the world today, you need 3 things which are education, getting skills and  entrepreneurship. Now, the problem we have is that most of us have skills but failed to convert the skills to entrepreneurship," he said.
"Learning a trade is not your profession but your skill and when you transform your skills to making money it becomes your profession," he added.

“I think this is one of the best ways to give back to the society because the CDC chairman has done a very good job and the most important thing is for the participants to utilize it for good.

“Whatever the CDC is doing today is complimenting that which we have in mind, if the youths present here can learn a skill and convert the skill into entrepreneurship, then, I believe the level of unemployment will be reduced drastically.

"My advice to the youths is that they should be committed and determined to convert the skills into entrepreneurship”. Vice chairman, Titilola Adegboyega concluded.

While speaking with the CDC Chairman, Elder Olowu, he told MegaXpression that the event was organized because of the level of unemployment in the society. He said Certificates will be issued to each and every students that can be used anywhere because it is a certificate from the CDC.
