IGBOGBO MONARCH, LAWMAKERS, NOTABLE PERSONALITIES, OTHERS HOLD STAKEHOLDERS MEETING IN IGBOGBO, AGREE ON PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE. Gov Sanwo-Olu has ordered immediate commencement of Igbogbo/Igbe road, Hon Sholaja-Saka reveals.

HRM Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, assembled all stakeholders in the land to discuss the way forward in the kingdom. The Apena of Igbogbo, Chief Yaya Agoro, led the opening prayer at the Palace of Adeboruwa, while the Council Chief, Comrade Olusesan Daini took over to address the large audience. 

He extended his greetings to the monarch and everyone present at the meeting. "We have been in office for two(2) years now and we have done so many things. Concerning Education, we have touched five(5) primary schools in terms of Class rooms and fencing of Eleja pry school and some other things. 

"In the health sector, we have built a block in Agbele health centre to improve the condition of the place and we have also informed the Lagos State government about upgrading Agbele health centre to a mini general hospital which as been granted. So, by the grace of God the project will commence soon.

"The trade in this community isn't left out, the face one(1 ) of Kaniyi Igbogbo market is concluded and within two weeks to this time, face two(2) will also be under construction and also Owode Ibeshe. Elepe market will also be constructed soon and concerning the ramshackle road, the construction would begin before the week runs out. 

"The security personnel are so far doing a great job in maintaining peace in the kingdom, and I hope they up the good work and never slow down." Daini said

Also in the same vein, the House of Assembly member,  representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka assures that His Excellency, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the construction of the Igbogbo/Bola Ahmed Tinubu/ Igbe road would commence fully on Friday.

"The Policemen, Neighborhood security are not left out, we've done lots of festivals and no casualty was recorded, you've done a very good job." Sholaja-Saka commended.

In his Royal speech, HRM Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, emphasized on the ramshackle roads in the kingdom, calling on Hon. Sholaja-Saka to please use his influence by making Igbogbo a better place.

"I'm really pleased with all that is happening today, and I pray today's meeting won't be our last," the monarch added 

The meeting also witnessed the presence of GAC member, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, former Speaker, Rt Hon Jokotola Pelumi, former acting Commissioner, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, former H.O.S Aremo Adesegun Ogunlewe, President IDEA, Dr Tunde Ogunlaja and APC Chieftain, Chief Adenrele Olowu.

Others are Chief Yaya Andu, Chief Bolanle Basorun, Hon Gbenga Oshin, Hon Taiwo Orenuga, High Chiefs, league of Baales, Muslim and Christian leaders, Police Personnel, CDAs, amongst others.
