SHAKIRU SEIDU OF MEGAXPRESSION COMMUNITY MAGAZINE EMERGES AS P.R.O OF COMMUNITY MEDIA PRACTITIONERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA, LAGOS STATE CHAPTER. It's another call to serve our dear State, he says.

Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Community Magazine, from Ikorodu, on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, emerged winner, as Public Relations Officer, P.R.O, at the Community Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (COMPASS) election, held in Ikeja, Lagos.

Ba'royin, as he's popularly called by numerous followers, won, alongside with other professionals in journalism. Amongst which are:

1: Tayo Aderionla, Lagos Panorama, as President.
2: Tony Okpe, Lagos Watch, as Vice President.
3: Maureen Ogolor, WAZOBIA FM, as Fin Sec.
4: Nwosa Jennifer, Community Sky, as Welfare Officer.
5: Felix Godonu, Badagry Prime, as Treasurer.
6: Sola Olugbenro, Ikeja City Mag., as Social Secretary.
7: Sheriff Owolabi, shololu, as Gen. Secretary.
8: Olukayode Odujirin, The Providence, as Internal Auditor.
9: Adewale Oguniran, Integrity Reports, as Ass. Sec.

Seidu and nine others were said to be sworn-in soon.

Kunle Adelabu of The Impact Newspaper,  Omoba Peju Akinyemi of Ikorodu Oga Radio and Adedamola of Starlight Newspaper have all congratulated Seidu for making Ikorodu proud in the field of journalism. 

"Congratulations on your success at the COMPASS election. You stand out not only as the Spokesperson of the Association, but also, the Ambassador of Ikorodu Division at that State Association," Adedamola said.

"Proud of you and wish you more feathers to your cap of honour," he added.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family. During the meeting held at Osugbo Abalaye Shrine , where Lantan family were asked to pay fine of almost One million naira worth of sacrifice because of Mr Shakiru Sanni's misconduct, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali , emphasized that Shakiru Sanni's removal as Olumale Eluku was to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of Igbogbo
