In a display of gratitude and solidarity, the APC LGA Exco, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, under the Chairmanship of Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, was on Monday visited the former SSG and Member, Governance Advisory Council, GAC, Asiwaju Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun, to appreciate his worthy gesture of donating his Company's land, ROMO Nig. The Class 2003 of Ikorodu High School, Ikorodu, Lagos, on Wednesday donated generously, 20 sets of 3-seater chairs, desks, and a marker board to the Junior Secondary School section of Ikorodu High School. The donation, made by the Alumni Association 1997/2003 set, also included repairs of classroom ceilings and flooring. This was said to have being in poor condition, with broken floors, damaged ceilings, and lack of proper seating, making students to sit on the floor during classes. In a significant recognition of effective Local governance, the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the highest political organ of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Lagos State, on Thursday had a delegation led by distinguished Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro, former Minister of State Defense and a prominent GAC member, visited Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), as part of its grassroots midterm assessment.  Senator Obanikoro heads the GAC midterm assessment committee for Lagos East Senatorial District, tasked with evaluating the progress of Local Governments and LCDAs in the region. The House of Reps. Member, representing Ikorodu federal constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has flagged off the construction of Adamo/ Araromi road in Ikorodu North LCDA of Lagos State. Benson, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Defence, said the construction of the road, linking Adamo to over 40 communities, is expected to be completed in three months.
