2025: DAINI PRESENTS 3.5 BILLION NAIRA BUDGET TO LEGISLATIVE ARM OF IGBOGBO/BAYEKU LCDA FOR APPROVAL. ...Says it's a Budget of Accomplishment.

Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA of Lagos State, has presented N3.5 Billion Budget to the legislative body of the Council for the 2025 fiscal year.

According to him while addressing the Hallow Chamber, "It is a privilege to stand before you today to present the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year tagged "Budget of Accomplishment".

"This Budget represent the vision, plan and the financial strategies of our government. One that is structured to meet the demand of our people and also pave way for long term growth and prosperity. This policy document that I am presenting today is a reflection of hardwork, resilience, teamwork and accomplishment," he stated.

Daini, therefore presented the total of N3,500,000,950.50k Budget proposal for the Y2025 for approval, stating that the Budget has 66 percent recurrent and 34 percent Capital. He said the budget is tagged: “Budget of Accomplishment,” which has projected recurrent of N2,310,000,627.33, and N1,190,000,323.17 projected capital.

Meanwhile, the Chairman said in the key highlights of the year 2024 budget, which was N2,950,000,000, noting that the budget performance in Y2024 was at 77.34% on recurrent, while 32.1% on Capital. "The revenue performance at the Federal Allocation is 77%, while IGR is 67% and State coordinated is 123%", he added.

Daini, further reiterated that the 2025 Budget was a deliberate effort to consolidate the gains of the past while ensuring a seamless transition to the next administration. He added that the budget was crafted with the vision of sustainability, equity, and inclusiveness, ensuring that the people of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

The Chairman appreciated the lawmakers, saying collective efforts and support of the members enhanced the development of the local government. He expressed optimism that the relationships and structures built would outlive the administration and serve residents effectively.

“I reaffirm my commitment to our dear LCDA, While this is my last budget presentation in the lifetime of my Administration as your Executive Chairman. At this junction, let me use this medium to say thank you for sharing part of your busy time. Your unflinching supports in the last seven and half years of our Administration is profoundly appreciated," Daini thanked.

In his remarks, the Leader of the 5th Legislative Arm of Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Nurudeen Alimi, thanked the Chairman for the presentation, applauding the effective collaboration between the Legislative and the Executive. 

Alimi assured that the year 2025 budget would be giving prompt scrutiny and approval, to the best interest of the people of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA. "We'll put in our best to effect prompt approval to the best interest of our dear LCDA," Alimi said.

Taiwo Orenuga, former Council heads, Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA, Alhaji Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, and Yeye Bolanle Basorun, former APC LGA Chairman, Alhaji Sefiu Ogunyemi, Alhaji Abdullahi Bobomi, Alhaji Shakiru Odusanya
