APC Chairmanship Candidate, Prince Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, HOA , was on Saturday around 11:15am, casted his vote at his Polling Unit 009 Ojubode, Ward C1, Igbogbo, Lagos State.  Those that casted their votes alongside HOA  at the same polling unit 009 were the former Lagos House of Assembly member, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson , was on Thursday July 10, 2025, hosted the vibrant and brilliant Fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy at his Constituency Office in Igbogbo, Lagos, as part of their leadership immersion and experiential learning tour. The tour began with a visit to the iconic Ikorodu Division Hall of Fame, where the Curator, Mrs. Funmilayo Aroyewun-Akanji, graciously walked them through the legacy of distinguished sons and daughters of Ikorodu, past and present, whose exploits have shaped history.  The Hall of Fame features illustrious sons and daughters of Ikorodu who have made significant contributions in various fields. Tens of thousands of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) brought Igbogbo/Bayeku, Ijede and Imota LCDAs to a standstill on Tuesday, on a road show mega rally, to canvass and demonstrate their solid support for the party towards the forthcoming local government elections on 12th July, 2025. The bubbling towns literally stood still, as scores of artisans, youth groups, traders, students and community organisations trooped out in solidarity and joined the crowd of party supporters to campaign for the Candidates of APC across the Ikorodu Constituency II . The crowd at Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA converged at Igbogbo Palace as at 9am, and moved through Oba Molaja Ogunlewe Road to Poro Agbaje, Elepe, Ginti, Okeletu, Ijede and back to Abule Eko.
