REP. JIMI BENSON INSPECTS MULTIPLE ONGOING ROAD PROJECTS IN IKORODU, LAUDS PRESIDENT TINUBU'S RENEW HOPE AGENDA.


The Ikorodu federal Constituency representative at the Green Chamber Abuja, and Chairman House Committee on Defence, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has expressed delight over the Renew Hope Agenda of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, adding that the impacts have shown in his performance to facilitate many road projects across the Ikorodu federal Constituency. 

Benson made the remark during an inspection tour of multiple critical road projects, at Solebo Estate Ikorodu and Agbede/ Ita-Oluwo road on Saturday. The projects are expected to be completed in no distance time.

The first stop was Solebo Estate, where five internal roads were being constructed simultaneously to improve mobility, safety, and quality of life for residents and road users. As one of Ikorodu’s leading estates, Solebo Estate has been restored to its former glory through the reconstruction of its internal roads. Thereafter, the Lawmaker, in company of his iCARE Foundation proceeded to the ongoing 7.5km Agbede–Ita Oluwo Road project, flagged off in late September.

Responding to the MegaXpression correspondence, Benson said "I am impressed by the pace and quality of work, and deeply encouraged by the appreciation expressed by residents. This long-desired intervention will significantly improve connectivity, ease transportation, attract investments, and boost economic activities across our communities.

"These projects are a continued testament to the Renewed Hope Agenda of our dear President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR — an agenda focused on people-centred development, inclusive growth, and infrastructure that delivers real value to everyday lives."

Among the entourage are Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, and Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, representing Ikorodu II; the SA to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje; the Executive Chairmen of Ikorodu LG, Ikorodu North LCDA, Ikorodu West LCDA, and Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA - Prince Adedayo Abdullateef Ladega, Mayor Ameen Olawale Apanishile, Hon. (Chief) Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, and Omo’ba Hammed Ọlálékan Aroyewun - as well as the leadership of Ikorodu North, West LCDAs, CDC, the Agbede community, and its CDAs.

"My gratitude goes to party leaders across the Division and all Stakeholders who journeyed with us from one project site to another. Together, we are rewriting Ikorodu’s story - from roads that connect our people, to pathways that unlock opportunities for generations to come," the erudite Lawmaker added.

A new Chief Imam for the Igbogbo Central Mosque has been installed. He is Fadeelat Imam Abdulganiu Gazali , who was turbaned on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, as Chief Imam of Igbogbo Central Mosque and Grand Chief Imam Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA.
