COUNCIL SECRETARIES IN IKORODU DIVISION HOLD ITS INAUGURAL MEETING. | Shakiru Seidu. Personal interest should not override the objective goal of selfless service, Hadey Ayeni reveals.

On Friday, 9th of February, 2018, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA hosted all the SLG in the 5 LCDAs and Ikorodu Local Government. The meeting started with an opening prayer, followed by the introduction of the members. The SLG Ikorodu West and Ikorodu Local Government was said to have been absent unavoidably due to an official assignment.

The SLG, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Barr. Hadey Ayeni gladly embraced the SLGs and sued for common goal in projecting the image of Ikorodu Division.

"Personal interest should not override the objective goal of selfless service", he remarks. Ayeni further enjoined all to embrace unity of purpose and to throw weight behind good policies that will promote growth and development in Ikorodu Division.

A surprise visit was paid by the Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, who urged the Secretaries to take unity and efficiency as their watchword to enable them chart a course that will take the Division to its promise land.

The SLGs took turn to solicit for unflinching support from all and sundry. The first to speak was the SLG to Ijede LCDA, Mr Kunle Olambiwonnu, who said the synergy will aid development and bridge communication gap. Imota SLG, Mrs Solarin-Akinyemi M.O., implored everyone to embrace team spirit in the discharge of their duty. In the same vein, the SLG Ikorodu North LCDA, Mr Niyi Odugbesi affirmed that the meeting will assist the Chairmen in productive policies.

The meeting did not end without refreshing the guests shortly after the meeting was adjourned.

Mr Shakiru Sanni was on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, removed from his position as the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo Kingdom, after his alleged gross misconduct and disrespect to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali and traditional institution of Igbogboland. Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
