HON. BABAJIMI BENSON, IKORODU DIVISION EXECUTIVES AND LEGISLATORS VOLUNTEER TEAM, DISTRIBUTE FOOD FOR OVER 500 VULNERABLE ONES IN IKORODU DIVISION. | Shakiru Seidu. Princess Ogunsanya, Hon Akinsola, Chief Olowu, Council Leaders, others, applaud Hon Babajimi Benson for quality service delivery.

The Member of House of Reps, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency, Hon Babajimi Benson, today, 24th of February, 2018, at his Constituency Office, Igbogbo, Lagos State, catered for another set of people that is over 500, consisting of Elderly, Widows, Needy and the Vulnerable ones in his Constituency by giving them food. The programme which is the first in the history of Nigeria saw the Executives and Legislators from Ikorodu Division sharing same vision in joining Hon. Benson to do same.

The programme started with prayer from religious leaders, Christian and Muslim respectively before an eloquent welcome address by the DG of iCARE Foundation.

Mayor Deen Sanwoola expressed joy and satisfaction to the iCARE Team for their roles in going this far despite the economic hardship in Nigeria. He made it known that the iCARE Foodbank is not government sponsoring programme but was being powered by Hon. Babajimi Benson and his amiable wife, Mrs Olajumoke Benson. He therefore applauded the Excos and Councillors of the Six Councils in Ikorodu Division for sharing same vision with JB in doing same for the beneficiaries.

In his eloquent remarks, the erudite Legislator, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, thanked all for the unflinching support bestowed on him, especially the beneficiaries. He explained how he inherited spirit of magnanimity from his late Dad, late Otunba TOS Benson, SAN, Chief B.O. Benson, SAN, and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He therefore urged for more hard work to increase the 1.5 million votes recorded in the last election to over 5million votes. In appreciating this, he assured of empowering the Party faithfuls, Olojas and other participants who made it happen.

Mrs Olajumoke Benson who had earlier addressed the gathering, appreciated everyone for placing their trust in her husband especially the iCARE Team for their voluntary and selfless service.

The attended APC Chieftains, Princess Adenrele Ogunsanya, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Chief Adenrele Olowu, Alhaji Olufowora, Mrs Esther Obayomi and Chief Golden Jay revealed absolute satisfaction on Hon. Babajimi Benson and enjoined him not to relent. They appreciated him for his accountability and innovations. "Jimi Benson has tremendously raises hope of people and this made him as a very good man and an articulate ambassador of Ikorodu Division," one of the APC leaders, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola revealed this while talking to Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Magazine.

The programme which was only attended by the 3 Council Chairmen from Ikorodu Constituency II, Comrade Olusesan Daini, Prince Wasiu Agoro and Comrade Fatiu Salisu of Igbogbo/Bayeku, Imota and Ijede LCDAs respectively, said they can attest to the good work of Hon. Babajimi Benson and based on this, they appreciate his good gesture. They admitted that Hon. Babajimi Benson had proven that he is a credible choice in Ikorodu Division for the House of Representatives, come 2019.

The programme was brought to a close through the distribution of food to over 500 beneficiaries from iCARE Foodbank and Ikorodu Division Executives and Legislators Volunteer Team.

The occasion was graced with the presence of notable APC faithfuls in Ikorodu Division. The likes of the former SSG, Lagos State, Princess Adenrele Ogunsanya, former Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture and Special Adviser to Governor Ambode on Housing, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Chief Adenrele Olowu, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja who was ably represented by his Personal Assistant, Alhaji Olufowora, Chief Golden Jay, Otunba Ganiu Abiru, Hon Gbenga Basanya, Otunba Saheed Ibikunle, the 3 Council Chairmen from Ikorodu Constituency II with their Vice, Vice Chairman Ikorodu Central and West, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba and Hon Sesan Dada, Hon Adeola Jokomba, Mr Gafaar Bolowotan, Mrs Esther Obayomi, Religious leaders, CDCs, APC LGA Chairmen, Ward Chairmen, Councillors, Woman leaders, Youth leaders and other Party faithfuls in Ikorodu Division were all in attendance.

Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
