Words cannot be enough to describe how historic a woman of God was buried. It was a memorable day at the Megalite Hall and United Africa Methodist Church Cathedral, Igbogbo, where the Wake-Keep and funeral was held and at Igbogbo Sports Stadium, where reception was held for the committed woman of God, Elder Comfort Amoke Faniyi, on Saturday, 10th of February, 2018.
Elder Comfort Amoke Faniyi who surrendered to death, December 2017, was born to the family of Ogunjimi and Olanipekun 73years ago and married to the family of Faniyi in Igbogbo.
When speaking with Shakiru Seidu of MegaXpression Magazine, the children of the deceased, Olukoga, Omololu, Olabisi, Olalekan, Opemipo, Oluwarinumi and Folashade Faniyi could not hide their joyous feelings as regard the presence of the prominent personalities from different works of life who graced the occasion.
The final burial ceremony which was bombarded with men and women of timber and calibre from home and abroad saw the likes of Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja, member LSHA, Prince Rotimi Ogunleye, Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, a business mogul and CEO Homat Group of Schools, Alhaji Olawale Amusa, Otunba Adebowale Ogunade, Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, Mr Olusoga Faniyi, Mrs Toyin Dankuwo, Barr. Deboye Dankuwo, Chief Okusanya, Olori Sekinat Kasali, Mr Gbenga Faniyi and Chief Adenrele Olowu.
Others were Egbe Kokoro, political big wigs, philanthropist, entrepreneurs, professionals in different sectors, scholars, technocrats, and people from all works of life were all in attendant.
