Speaking at his burial in Oke-ota Ibeshe, on Wednesday, the Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, expressed shock and displeasure over the untimely death of Comrade Olufemi Olutoba, noting that his death was a great lost to JTF, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

"He was with me through out Friday night, the eve of election and I left him around 1am on the election day. Olufemi is a committed JTF member and may God grant him peace and eternal rest.

"For all of us that are still alive, I want to appreciate you because even with his death, a lots of people would have been discouraged, but 24hours after his death, I meant with some Joint Task Force (JTF) members and I can still see the spirit and  dedication burning and even the zeal to continue against crime and criminality in Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA.

"I will say those that did this have murdered sleep and will sleep no more. Those that took his life prematurely will not know peace and wherever they are, this is a message to them that they can never hide for ever and judgement will be on them," the Chairman said.

"I'm aware that his first born have just written WACE with a very good result and on behalf of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and the council, I promise that we will grant him scholarship till the end of his academic.

"Equally, I will be giving monthly salary for all Joint Task Force from this month. And I want to say this in honour of Comrade Olufemi that the account of his first born will be listed to collect the salary of his late father.

"It's so sad but I want to say he's called to service and for us to know it happens to him today, God forbid, he can happen to anybody, so it out unity and togetherness that can stop this kind of act in our community. To those that are ready to betray this group will not succeed," Daini added.

According to a community leader and APC Chieftain, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, while mourning the late Olufemi, said he has worked relentlessly to confront security challenges in Ibeshe, more so, during the era of Badoo, describing him as a gallant, battle tested and trusted patriotic JTF of the LCDA.

"I'm here to pay solidarity to the Joint Tasks Force (JTF) that was just created recently in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and also to pay solidarity to the community policing because without security in the community there will be know peace.

"I know Olufemi during the period of END SARS protest and it's a pity that while fighting for the peace of the community, he paid the supreme price and that is gallantly.

"I want to encourage and tell you that he does not die in vain. Apart from the government, I have a school and to his children that are still of school age, I will offer them scholarship because that we can do to support the mother and to encourage others that whatever you do to the community, you are not forgotten or doing it in vain," Kaoli said.

"Going forward, we don't know where Nigeria is going in terms of community policing, but if it eventually approved, it will be good because those that have  volunteer themselves will transform as state police force and whatever process that the  government want to go through will be able to work with you so that we can meet the process," he assured.
