LAGOS EAST BYE-ELECTION BEGINS WITHOUT ANY HITCH, AS PEOPLE TURN OUT TO VOTE IN IKORODU. ...Abiru, Benson, Akinsola, Daini, others applaud INEC, urge Voters to be calm, peaceful.

The Lagos East Senatorial Bye-Election, has so far been very calm and peaceful in Ikorodu. Despite the low turnout at the beginning, the voters later turnout in large number to perform their civil responsibilities.

Speaking with our Correspondence, House of Reps Member, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, reiterated to MegaXpression Community News, that his polling unit has been orderly and people were voting without any fear or favour.

"As you can see, I just exercised my civic responsibility by voting at my polling unit in Ibeshe Ward C4. 

"The process so far is very commendable and I applaud INEC for the improvement. I urge all voters in Lagos East Senatorial District to remain calm and peaceful as we await the results," Hon. Benson said.

Also, in Igbogbo, at Ward C1, boot 10, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, after casted her vote, equally commended INEC for improving in the voting system. She enjoined all to maintain peace and orderliness.

The GAC member,  Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, APC Lagos East Vice Chairman, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon SOB Agunbiade, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka of Ikorodu constituency II, Chairman Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Bldr Olusesan Mayokun Daini and other 5 Councils Chairmen, Coordinator of Igbogbo Youth Council, Mr Lateef Odusanya, amongst others exercised their franchise by voting at their various boots.

Mr Shakiru Sanni of Amoju branch, Lantan Onanusi Family in Igbogbo, was made the Olumale Eluku of Igbogbo few years back, and accused of insubordination, abused of tittle and total disrespect to the King, traditional institution of the land and Lantan Onanusi Family.
