IGBOGBO/ BAYEKU COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, OLUSESAN DAINI HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS' FORUM ON Y2021 BUDGET. ...enumerates scorecards, speaks about long term plan for LCDA.

Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA Chairman, Bldr. Olusesan Mayokun Daini, on Wednesday met with stakeholders and representatives across the 5 Wards in the LCDA, in order to harmonise the 2021 budget. The well-attended stakeholders meeting had in attendance community leaders, Community Development Committee (CDC) leaders, party leaders, traditional rulers, market leaders, the corporate community, NURTW leaders, representatives of artisans, youth leaders and the leadership of the local government, head of revenue and other revenue officials of the council.

In his keynote address, the Chairman said his administration had done its best in the last 365 days to implement Y2020 budget, despite the tight and sneak revenue coming to the council, noting that his government had put in best on infrastructural development within its capacity and willing to do more.

"Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, our budget for year 2020 was not aborted, we planned to build a befitting Council Secretariat which we did and will be commissioned soon by the executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu. This pandemic period, we equally distributed palliatives and also give out cash to our people periodically. 

"We have made provision for classrooms and toilets at Igbe primary school, but yet to be commissioned. The fencing round of Methodist Primary school, Igbogbo is ongoing and we'll complete it before January ending.

"We have provided official vehicles for our royal fathers to ease their traditional functions. And we have established a formidable security joint task force in the LCDA to deal with any unlawful activities. This administration have equally been responded promptly to the request of Ikorodu Police Station, along Igbogbo road, the Chairman explained.

"As a government, we are not leaving any stone unturned in the health sector, we provides all the needed equipments to our health centres. And we put up our best in addressing the issue of flooding in the LCDA. We have visited and did some dredging at Oga-Oloye, Ajewo and Ibeshe canals, but we need people to be on the same page with us by not blocking our drainages.

"We equally obtained GCE forms for our students and conducted tutorial for them so as to help them perform excellently well in their examinations. We have equally facilitated the construction of market in Elepe by the Federal government of Nigeria," Daini added.

In his eloquent remarks, the former SSG and member of GAC, Lagos State, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, lauded the uncommon achievements of Chairman Daini, commending him for his achievements on infrastructural development in the LCDA, more so, on the construction of the ultra modern office complex and markets.

He implored the him to include in Y2021 budget, the reconstruction and running of drainage of Akindana, Omidina, Olatufewa and Olubushe streets Igbogbo. 

The 'Baba Aladura' thereafter enjoined residents of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA to give maximum support to Daini's administration to enable him do more. "I have the belief that the year 2021 budget would no doubt be tailored towards meeting the aspirations and needs of the people in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA," Basorun said. 

On his part, the first executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, equally appreciated the gesture of Chairman Daini for not forsaking the landmark of his ancestors. "I will also urge the council to add more zeal to the issue of sporting because whenever I see the youth at the stadium, I'm always happy because it makes them busy and not engage in an unlawful act.

In his remarks, the Chief Imam, Igbogbo Central Mosque, Sheikh Dhikirulahi Andu Tanimoshe, commended the good work of Chairman Daini, urging him to do more on sanitation. 

In the same vein, one of the APC Chieftains, Chief Aderele Olowu, beseeched the chairman to start clearing the drainage in those areas that are been disturbed by flood, so that when the attention of the government is been called and it will be easier for them to assist us, urging him to include Ibeshe, Bayeku and Elepe in his next year projects.

The APC LGA Chairman, Alhaji Shefiu Ogunyemi, while giving his remarks appreciated the Chairman for his good work, stating that he's excited with Daini on his passion for the development.

Also, Mr Afuwape, urged the chairman to drag the influence of the state government to the coaster areas in the LCDA, noting that Bayeku, Oreta and Offin have an economic potentials.

In their royal remarks, His Royal Majesties, Oba AbdulSemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo and Oba Richard Abayomi Ogunsanya, Olubeshe of Ibeshe, who were both represented by Chief Olanrewaju Obayomi, Otunba of Igbogbo and Chief Alade Joshua, Odofin of Ibeshe, applauded the chairman for his uncommon achievements, assuring his administration of royal support.
