CORNELIUS OJELABI INAUGURATES ORI-OKUTA LINK ROAD IN IKORODU. | Shakiru Seidu. ...As Jimi Benson gets Commendation on Completed 57 Road Projects.

The Chairman, All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos State, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi on Saturday inaugurated Ori-Okuta link road in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The Ori-Okuta Road was the 57th completed Road facilitated by Rep. Benson Adegoke Babajimi MHR, the lawmaker representing Ikorodu federal Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Defence.

Inaugurating the project, Ojelabi commended Benson for ensuring that reconstructed the road was fitted with streetlights and urged the residents of Ori-Okuta to ensure proper maintenance. The Ori-Okuta road connects many communities, particularly Agric-Owutu, Eyita and Sabo Ikorodu.
Speaking during the inauguration, Benson said that the road was reconstructed to ease vehicular movement from Agric-Owutu to Ori-Okuta and lessen the pains of people living in the area.

According to the erudite lawmaker, Nigeria is currently experiencing an infrastructural deficit which the present administration is making efforts to bridge the gap. He commended Lagos State Government for its infrastructural projects in the area, more so, Agric/ Isawo road, that leads to Mowe.

Benson said that the road was strategic and would be handed over to the Community Development Association (CDA) to ensure proper maintenance and durability.

The NUT Chairman, Ikorodu Division, Comrade Femi Fakolade, commended the erudite lawmaker for doing such a magnanimous project as a dividend of democracy in his constituency. Fakolade, who resides in Ori-Okuta, urged fellow residents to ensure proper maintenance of the road.

The Baale of Ori-Okuta community, Chief Murisiku, also commended the lawmaker on the gesture and encouraged him to continue in his good work and practical representation of Ikorodu at the National Assembly.

Rep. Babajimi Benson and his entourage later proceeded to Offin/ Oreta road Igbogbo and other ongoing road projects facilitated by him, to inspect and ascertained the level of the procedure.
