LAGOS LG POLLS: OGUNLEWE, OTHERS MOVE TO RECONCILE AGGRIEVED TMM MEMBERS IN IKORODU DIVISION.


The Lagos East Senatorial TMM leader, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, TMM Divisional Chairman, Alhaji Animashaun De Cubano, TMM Divisional Secretary, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, former Lagos Majority Leader, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, member Eight and Ninth Assemblies, Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja, Apex Ijede leader, Alhaji Ajala, amongst other notable TMM Leaders in Ikorodu Division, were on Wednesday appealed passionately and called for unity among the TMM members in Ikorodu Division, urging them to strengthen their chances in future elections.

Ogunlewe, a GAC member, made the appeal during a TMM Stakeholders meeting from the six councils in Ikorodu Division. He urged members to embrace the outcome of the Party in the recently concluded APC primaries, noting the importance of inclusivity in politics.

Ogunlewe further assured members that better days are surely ahead, while pleading to have faith in the TMM leaders. "We tried our best as leaders, but there can always be an improvement," the former Minister opined.

In the same vein, the former Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, equally appealed to member to accept faith, noting that the TMM must further position themselves in other opportunities.

Agunbiade also pleaded with the members not to compromise their respect for party leaders. He therefore charged leaders on SLGs and Supervisors for members. 

Meanwhile, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, in her eloquent remarks commended the TMM leaders for calling the meeting, adding that it's afford members the opportunity to express their feelings.

She further stated that the TMM has learnt its lessons, while appealing to members to remain calm and vote in large number for the all APC Candidates.

Also, Hon. Nurudeen Sholaja and Alhaji Ajala from Ijede LCDA, pleaded with the members to be consistence and have strong faith in the leadership of TMM in Ikorodu Division. 

Ajala urged the leaders to review the process of selecting public officers, while Hon. Sholaja said the leadership of the TMM would meet and feed back its members. 

Among those in attendance were for Chairmanship Aspirants, Hon. Sesan Dada from Ikorodu West LCDA, Shakiru Moritan Seidu, SMS from Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Animashaun from Ikorodu Central and Barr. Olatoun Adekoya.

Others are Mr Yemisi Odusoga, TMM Coordinator, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Anifowose, Alhaja Sukura Adewunmi, Mr Akeem Awosanya, Mr Tokunbo Ojulari, Alhaji Kudus Oduntan, Mr Deji Shonubi, amongst other TMM members.

Former Minister and GAC member, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe , has denied reports claiming he endorsed Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo for a second term bid to represent Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
