The Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun , has launched a measles-rubella vaccination campaign, emphasising the importance of protecting children against preventable diseases. The flag-off, which took place on Wednesday, 28 January 2026 , at the Primary Health Centre, Igbogbo, was part of the Lagos State–wide introduction of the Measles–Rubella vaccine into the Routine Immunisation Programme. The initiative targets children between the ages of nine months and 14 years, with the aim of preventing outbreaks of highly contagious but preventable diseases and strengthening community-level health protection.
