The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, was on Monday, January 5, 2026, joined leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC), as the Party commenced electronic membership registration. This was said to be part of strategies aimed at strengthening internal party democracy and organisation.
The exercise took place across designated ward centres, including Ward C1 (Abosan, Igbogbo), Ward C2 (Mokun, Igbogbo), Ward C3 (Baiyeku/Oreta/Offin) and Ward C4 (Ibeshe/Owode). Party members and intending registrants aged 18 years and above, with valid NIN and PVC, are being enrolled smoothly using the e-registration platform.
Aroyewun was joined by Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, APC Party Chairman IBLCDA, and Ward Chairmen across all Wards, to guarantee a peaceful, orderly, and efficient exercise. They embarked on on-the-spot visits to Ward C1, Ward C2 and Ward C4, where they interacted directly with party members, monitored the registration process, and encouraged residents to take advantage of the opportunity to formalise their membership.
The ongoing e-registraiton, holding simultaneously not only in IBLCDA, but also in Ikorodu Division, Lagos State and across other states drew the presence and support of respected party leaders and stakeholders, including H.E Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Senator Adeseye Ogunelewe, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, Hon. Babajimi Benson, Hon. Adeola Jokokba; APC Lagos State Secretary, Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani; Chairman APC Ikorodu Division, Hon. Basirat Banjoko; Leader of the House IBLCDA, and other Legislators of IBLCDA, Alh. Olawale Abdullah, Alh. Sefiu Ogunyemi, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Alh. Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, Bldr. Olusesan Daini, among other prominent leaders, whose participation further boosted confidence and enthusiasm among party faithful across the wards.
Speaking during the ward exercise in Ward C2, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, urged residents of Igbogbo and Baiyeku to come out en masse and register, describing the APC e-registration exercise as a vital opportunity for party members to strengthen the party from the grassroots. He emphasized that registering and updating one’s membership is not just a party activity but a way for residents to secure their voice, relevance, and participation in the future of the community, while encouraging everyone to come together as a party in unity for further development of our LCDA.
Also speaking during the exercise, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe noted that an accurate and inclusive membership register is fundamental to effective party organisation and electoral success, urging party faithful to embrace the process with a sense of responsibility and unity. The Senator further encouraged leaders at all levels to remain committed to grassroots engagement, stressing that the strength of the APC lies in the active participation and confidence of its members across communities.
During the exercise in Ward C4, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya and Hon. Babajimi Benson emphasised that the e-registration initiative is designed to strengthen the APC at the grassroots, promote inclusiveness, and position the party for sustained growth and unity in the nation.
Party members across Igbogbo and Baiyeku have been encouraged to continue visiting their respective ward registration centres to participate in the ongoing exercise and be part of the collective effort to build a stronger APC in IBLCDA.
