GRIEF AS DEATH OF LAGOS EAST APC WOMEN LEADER, YEYE FAUSAT GBADEBO ANNOUNCES IN IKORODU. ...Sen. Abiru, Jimi Benson, SOB Agunbiade, Sholaja-Saka, Akinsola, Bolowotan, Fatiu, Daini, others mourn.

Sen. Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru of Lagos East Senatorial District, Hon. Babajimi Benson of Ikorodu federal Constituency, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, Majority Leader, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja- Saka of Ikorodu constituency II, former Commissioner, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola and the DG, Lagos State Sports Commission, Omo'ba Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan, among other notable personalities had commiserated with the family and associates of the Lagos East Senatorial APC Women Leader, Chief (Mrs) Yeye Fausat Gbadebo, whose death occurred on Sunday night, January 24, 2021, and had been buried according to the muslim rites on Monday.

The Chairman, Ijede LCDA, Alhaji Fatiu Salisu Jimoh announced the death on Monday morning. Bldr Olusesan Daini, Omo'ba Wasiu Agoro, Omo'ba Olajumoke Jumbo- Ademeyin of Igbogbo/ Bayeku, Imota and Ikorodu West LCDAs, Council of Vice Chairmen in Lagos State, among other political big wigs paid their last respect to the mother of Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the current Vice Chairman of Ijede LCDA.

Speaking with MegaXpression correspondence, Sen Adetokunbo Abiru described the late Yeye Gbadebo as an asset to the political family of APC in Lagos State, noting that she played a motherly role to all within the party, in Ikorodu and Lagos East in general. 

"The news of her sudden death is one that is painful to me especially when considering the significant role she played during the election which saw my emergence as the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial district at the Nigeria Senate. Mama's advisory role to me is one that will be sorely missed," Abiru said. 

"I commiserate with the entire family of Gbadebo and Onilenla in Ijede, the APC family in Lagos East and the good people of Ikorodu in general. I pray for the repose of her soul and I pray that Allah grants the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss," the Senator prayed.

Also, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, of Ikorodu federal Constituency, equally expressed sadness and disbelief on the sudden death of Yeye Gbadebo. "I received the news of the untimely demise of Chief (Mrs.) Fausat Gbadebo, Lagos East Senatorial Woman Leader, APC Apex Leader in Ijede LCDA, Yeye Oge of Ijede Land.

"Chief Gbadebo who served as the first Executive Chairperson of Ijede Local Council Development Area, was a caring mother, supportive sister, compassionate advocate of women in politics, and an unwavering grassroots mobilizer," Benson said. 

"I join the APC family in Ikorodu Federal Constituency and indeed the entire Lagos State to mourn the demise of a true party chieftain with unblemished dedication and loyalty to the ethos of the progressive movement.

"I pray God forgives her sins, and grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss," he added.

The Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon SOB Agunbiade, equally expressed displeasure over the unexpected demise of Chief (Mrs.) Fausat Gbadebo, noting that it's came to him as a rude shock.

"The late Lagos East senatorial Woman Leader of our great party, APC, will be remembered for her unflinching commitment to the party and its struggles.

"Her service to the people of Ijede LCDA as the first Chairperson is recorded by history for all to reminisce upon. No doubt, she will be greatly missed.

"While we pray that she finds favour with her creator, we beseech God to give her loved ones, well wishers and the party as a whole the fortitude to bear this huge loss," Agunbiade said.

Hon. Sholaja-Saka, of Ikorodu constituency II, in his response to MegaXpression News, also expressed shocked when he heard the news on Monday morning. "I have lost a great leader, a woman of substance, a woman who is always ready to do whatsoever that party expects her to do, a woman that is obedient right from the time APC was formerly known as ACN and a woman like a man.

"I urge the family to emulate lots of things from her because she had done a her best to serve her father land," Sholaja-Saka said.

The former Ag. Commissioner and member, Seventh Assembly, Lagos State, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, equally expressed grief over the unexpected demise of Chief Yeye Gbadebo, noting that she was a dutiful and dexterous party person whose candid and forthright views were always respected ‘’We mourn her sudden departure from us and wish her Aljana Fidau," Akinsola said.

DG of Lagos State Sports Commission, Hon. Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan, while expressing his sympathy equally said to MegaXpression that the death of Yeye Gbadebo by this time is very terrible and sad in the party, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant her eternal rest.

"I also console with the family and my advise to the children is to buckle up and move on with their lives. I pray God in his infinite mercy to shower is blessings on the family she left behind," Bolowotan prayed.

Olusesan Daini also described the death of Yeye Gbadebo as a great loss to the progressives family in Lagos East.

Bldr. Olusesan Mayokun Daini, the Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, whom led the team of his Cabinet members to pay last respect, said he's saddened over the demise of Yeye Gbadebo, noting that her contributions to the progressives cause was immeasurable.

"I pray to Allah to give her family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable lost," Daini prayed.
