The ambience of residents of Sabo, Onishigida, Kokoro-Abu and Shamsideen areas, in Ikorodu, Lagos, again adorned a merrily moment on Saturday, June 19, as House of Reps. Member, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, accompanied by Members of iCARE Family, political and religious leaders, to inspect the status of 5 ongoing rural roads in Sabo/ Onishigida axis of Ikorodu.
The roads which include Ayangbedejo Street, Ajoke Oduyebo street, Kaz Avenue, Nike Olubodun Street and Ajebori Ogbon Street, all in Onishigida area of Sabo, Ikorodu, were said to be completed in July.
While speaking with MegaXpression Media, the lawmaker said the roads will make the primary and secondary schools situated at that area easily accessible, not only for the pupils, but for teachers, parents and citizens who live and conducts their businesses there. "It will also serve as an alternative route to connect the Ikorodu-Ijebu expressway without having to go through Sabo road," he explained.
Benson equally commended and appreciated the cooperation and understanding of residents and CDAs that are directly affected by the roads expansion. He assured them to ensure that the projects are completed with street lights before Ileya festival in July. He therefore urged the residents to help protect the materials of the Contractor in order to finish the job on time.
"In a shortest possible time, we would be commissioning these roads and we intend to bring the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on that faithful day, because he is the Chief infrastructure Officer of Lagos State. He has come to Ikorodu and has done alot silently, he just commissioned the Itamaga/ Ewu-Elepe road, and other internal road in Ikorodu federal Constituency and he'll surely do more," Benson assured.
The former Commissioner for Agriculture and presently the APC East Senatorial Vice Chairman, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, said in his eloquent response to MegaXpression Media, that Rep. Jimi Benson had proved to be a quality representative of the people, saying the lawmaker had created and added value to the lives of his Constituents.
"We really appreciate deeply from the bottom of our heart and wish Jimi Benson the very best as he continued to represent us. He has added value to properties around this area and accessibility will be improved, not for residents generally but for school children who have to transverse from one place to another," Kaoli stated.
Also, the Chief Imam of Oriwu Central Mosque Ikorodu, Sheikh Oshoala Samadani, expressed delight over the uncommon representation of Hon. Babajimi Benson, applauding him for following the guidance of Allah and listening to the crys of the people.
"Concerning these roads, we have the largest school population in this community before the breaking of primary school commenced. We have not been having easy access to this school. The teachers, inspectors, government officials and students have not been able to access the school but with this project, we appreciate God Almighty and say a very big thank you to Babjimi Benson," Sheikh Oshoala said.
The Chief Imam further implored the residents to take good possession of the road after completion. "I will call on all on the three CDAs in this Community like we did when the project is about to be flagged off, I will call them and we'll all ensure that security and maintenance of these roads is taking seriously," Oshoala added.
In the same vein, the CDA Chairman of Ayanbadejo Ayele, Otunba Rasheed Aleshinloye equally appreciated Rep. Benson for the laudable projects, promising that the benefited CDAs will have an interconjunction meeting about the maintainance and security of the roads.

This reportage is very accurate. I live in Ajeboriogbon, so, l'm a living witness to all you stated about the roads construction. I saw Him. Jimi Benson, trekking with multitude on inspection. I nominated someone to him for palliative and the person was given apoanu, full of foodstuffs. Honestly, the Honourable truly cares. He deserves another term in Abuja. I so recommend.
