REP. BABAJIMI BENSON HOSTS NASFAT, OTHER ISLAMIC SOCIETIES IN PUBLIC RAMADAN LECTURES. …Stresses needs for religious harmony, tolerance among Muslim Community.

The House of Reps Member, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, hosted the Second Edition of annual Ramadan Lecture of Nasfat Society, Ikorodu branch, at his Constituency Office in Igbogbo, Lagos. 

At the event, which also featured recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the branch’s Committee Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Afolabi, spoke fluently on the importance for good leadership, sighting the unprecedented performance of Rep. Babajimi Benson since assumed office in 2025.

According to him, he stated reasons why we must practice godliness toward one another. He highlighted the quality of a good and dependable leader which include honesty, integrity, confidence, commitment, ability to inspire others, decision making capabilities among others. 

Afolabi delivered an account of stewardship, highlighting several achievements made possible by Rep. Babajimi Benson and other sponsors. "JB has donated solar power to Nasfat, and improving the quality of life for members. Ikorodu Branch of NASFAT will always appreciate Babajimi Benson’s generosity and commitment to the people of Ikorodu federal Constituency," Alhaji Afolabi opined.

In his response, while speaking with MegaXpression correspondence, the DG iCARE Foundation, Mayor Muhydeen Sanwoola, whose presence stood for Rep. Babajimi Benson at the event, stressed the need for religious harmony and tolerance among the people of Muslim Community.

Sanwoola advised the Muslim community to always imbibe the spirit of Ramadan in their daily, communal and national lives, adding that making the lessons of ramadan to bear in all spheres of Nigeria’s national lives will help the nation out of her present social, economic, political and security challenges.

Meanwhile, Ansarudeen Islamic Society also held a Ramadan Public Lecture in honour of Rep. Babajimi Benson Friday at their central mosque, at Munirat Aleje, Ikorodu.

Central Mosques across Ikorodu Federal Constituency have also started Ramadan Public Lectures and prayers in honour of Rep Babajimi Benson for his efforts towards infrastructural upliftment in Ikorodu Division.

While, Anwarul Islam Movement of Nigeria is set to organize another public leture in honour of Rep. Babajimi Benson at the Ikorodu Town Hall on Sunday, 16th March, 2025.
