COMMENDATION AS REP. BABAJIMI BENSON GIVES OUT CARS TO CONSTITUENTS. ...Says gesture was aimed at putting smiles on faces.


It was another moment of joy in Ikorodu federal Constituency, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, when smiles were busy flowing on the faces of the APC party faithfuls during another upliftment Programme powered by the lawmaker representing Ikorodu federal constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, MHR, while given Cars to constituents.

The event which took place at his constituency Office, Igbogbo, was witnessed by Party Leaders, iCARE family, Market leaders, and members of the community. According to Benson, the gesture was aimed at putting smiles on the faces of my constituents.

“Before now, we have empowered men, women, youths and various associations, and more so, over 50,000 people have benefited from the iCARE Foodbank distribution so far, in order to alleviate poverty in Ikorodu federal Constituency.

Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, SKO, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, expressed his gratitude to Rep. Babajimi Benson, noting that, with all the great things JB is doing for Ikorodu, he still finds time to do this. His words echoed many people in the community who have benefited from Benson’s kindness.

Also, the Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Deaconess Busola Isikalu, praised Rep. Benson, reiterating that JB is really a builder of men. "He never ceases to surprise his constituents. He doesn’t only stop at constructing roads but also building men.” 

Meanwhile, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, APC Chairman Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, equally described Rep. Benson as a man with a heart of gold and a great leader, adding that Yemi Benson really deserved this. "He’s a great guy and loyal,” he opined.

One of the beneficiaries, Adeyemi Benson, was visibly moved by the surprise gift, saying, “This is a surprise gift because I never expected it. I pray to God to bless my Father and Leader, Rep. Babajimi Benson. May his hidden prayers be answered.”

A new Chief Imam for the Igbogbo Central Mosque has been installed. He is Fadeelat Imam Abdulganiu Gazali , who was turbaned on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, as Chief Imam of Igbogbo Central Mosque and Grand Chief Imam Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA. He succeeds the late Fadilat Sheikh Dhikirulahi Abdulahi Andu (Tanimose) who died on the 2nd of June, 2025. Gazali , before his installation, was the Chief Imam Araromi Mosque , Itun-Abosan.
