EASTER CELEBRATION: SMS FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIANS. ...Calls For Sacrifice For A Better Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.


The leading Chairmanship Aspirant in Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, and a renowned Journalist, Shakiru Moritan Seidu, SMS, has extended season’s greetings and warm congratulations to Christians in Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA of Lagos State, on the Happy Celebration of Easter, which marks the end of the Lent season, as well as commemorates the crucifixion, death and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In his reflective goodwill message on Sunday, SMS commented Christians for their prayers and consistent devotion to the virtues of sacrifice, solemnity, humility, and spiritual revival exhibited during the Lent.

Seidu also lauded the inspiring significance of Easter’s lessons in selflessness, modesty, hope, renewal and harmony as personified by the Lord Jesus Christ, urging Christians to emulate Christ and take advantage of this season to reinforce the ideals of personal sacrifice for mutual tolerance and peaceful co-existence in the country.

The Chairmanship Aspirant went further to emphasized that Easter’s lessons perfectly align with his vision for Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, as a peaceful, livable and progressive society where government policies promote social harmony, economic opportunity, and peace of mind for all.

“As we celebrate, l join millions across Nigeria and the world in wishing the Christendom a happy and reviving Easter celebration, with prayers that as Christ triumphed over death, there will emerge a new triumphant Igbogbo/Bayeku where the noble dreams of our citizens will be realised for a stronger and better community”  he stated.

A new Chief Imam for the Igbogbo Central Mosque has been installed. He is Fadeelat Imam Abdulganiu Gazali , who was turbaned on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, as Chief Imam of Igbogbo Central Mosque and Grand Chief Imam Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA. He succeeds the late Fadilat Sheikh Dhikirulahi Abdulahi Andu (Tanimose) who died on the 2nd of June, 2025. Gazali , before his installation, was the Chief Imam Araromi Mosque , Itun-Abosan. He is from Amoju branch of Lantan Onanusi Family, Igbogbo, and was graduated from different Arabic and Islamic Colleges.
