A DECADE OF LEGACY: 500 STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM FREE UTME CBT MOCK EXAM TRAINING OF OBA KASALI'S PRE-10TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY


Not fewer than 500 Students across Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA have benefited from the Pre-10th Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom's Free UTME CBT Mock Exam Training. The event took place at the Megalite Hall of the Homat Events Center Igbogbo, Lagos.

In his eloquent welcome address, the Chairman of the 10th Coronation Anniversary Planning Committee, Prince Adesegun Olushola Ogunlewe commended HRM Oba Semiudeen Kasali, for the event, describing the initiative as a platform for promoting academic excellence, and not making the 10th Coronation Anniversary a merry-making.

In the same vein, the Lagos State Ministry of Education, through the Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary of Education District II, Mr. Omotayo Sanni, also commended Kabiyesi and the Organizers, noting that the initiative is align with the THEMES+ Agenda of Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu.

Sanni further lauded the Monarch for blazing the trail of academic excellence, while urging other well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations in Lagos State to emulate Oba Kasali’s laudable initiative.

The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/ Bayeku LCDA, Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, equally applauded the gesture, while announcing a cash gift of N300,000 for any of the Students who scores 300 and above in the forthcoming UTME examination.

In his royal remarks, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, charged the benefitted Students to take focus in their education pursuit and avoid any forms of distractions. He further enjoined them to stay away from drug use and abuse.

The students received hands-on CBT training, exam success tips, and career guidance with a view to improving their readiness for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by bridging the digital literacy gap among the students.

Some of the Public Schools that benefitted from the CBT training include Zumratul Islamiyah Grammar School; Community Secondary School, Bayeku, Lagos State; Model Girls College, Agunfoye, Reri Secondary School, Oreta, Oreyo Grammar School, and Civil Service Model College all in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.

Other notable figure in attendance include the Committee Vice Chairman Central Planning Committee, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, Secretary of the Central Planning Committee, Mr. Babatunde Afuwape, Chairman of the Education Sub-Committee of the 10th Coronation Anniversary, Builder Olusesan Daini, amongst others.
