Member of the 7th Assembly and former S.A., Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, and over three hundred of her followers in TMM, were on Wednesday wine and dine together to celebrate the victory of APC in the recent Presidential and National Assembly elections. Akinsola described President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election for another four years as a referendum in support of integrity, good governance and the fight against corruption.
She Congratulated President Buhari, Hon Bayo Osinowo and Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR, and urged the people of Ikorodu Division to massively vote for the APC governorship Candidate, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, Hon SOB Agunbiade and Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka on March 9, 2019.
Akinsola, while addressing the large crowd in her Igbogbo house, thanked 'The Mandate Movement', TMM, and the people of Ikorodu Division for their steadfastness and support for the APC over the years.
Akinsola further urged the people to leverage the APC’s victory at the centre by ensuring that they cast their vote for the party’s governorship candidate in Lagos state, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu.
“My appeal to the good people of Ikorodu Division is to please cast their vote for the APC in next Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections. This will enable us to leverage on the party’s victory at the centre.
“Ikorodu Division cannot afford to fall into the hands of the opposition. Our Party have laid a solid foundation for the rapid socioeconomic development of our Division and we should not wittingly take steps that will halt the momentum," she said.
In spite of the low turnout in the last election, Akinsola said she remains undaunted, vowing to lead the party into victory in the governorship and Assembly elections in Ikorodu Division on March 9.
