OLASUNKANMI SHOTONWA, OTHERS, TAKE CHARGE AS INTERIM EXCO OF IPAKODO DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION. | Shakiru Seidu. "It's a call to serve the Community", Ipakodo Monarch reveals, as he flags off Ipakodo Easter Carnival.

Ipakodo is a community of people with prestigious social life and a breeding ground for intellectuals, academicians and technocrats who are serving in their optimum capacity in governance, commerce, education, industry and all endeavours of life.

Recently, at the Palace of Sekumade of Ipakodo, it was a memorable day when the Interim Exco of Ipakodo Development Association (I.D.A) were sworn-in by HRM Oba Engr. Bashir Aremu Sotonwa, Sekumade of Ipakodo Kingdom.

While addressing the gathering, the new Interim Chairman, Prince Olasunkanmi Shotonwa, promised to ensure a productive dialogue with all stakeholders in Ipakodo community. He also promised to engage professionals in running the affairs of Ipakodo Development Association to enhance rapid growth and development of Ikorodu Division at large.

He further promised to bring uncommon glamour to Ipakodo Easter Carnival which will be similar to Ojude Oba Day celebration in Ijebu Ode. 'The people in diaspora will equally be engaged,' he said, while answering questions from MegaXpression Community Magazine.

In his eloquent speech, HRM Oba Engr. Bashir Aremu Sotonwa, appreciated the organisers, sons and daughters of Ipakodo community for the unflinching supports bestowed upon him so far.

"As part of my pre-first year coronation anniversary event, we are here to formally inaugurate the Ipakodo Development Association(I.D.A) as the body responsible for advancing development programs and projects on behalf of Ipakodo community.

"The Interim Exco will also take up the task of resuscitating our age-long "Oke-Odo" Easter Picnic, as a way of fostering peaceful coexistence among our growing population," the Monarch explained.

The new Interim Exco includes:
1. Prince Olasunkanmi Shotonwa - Chairman.
2. Chief Taiwo Hassan - Vice Chairman.
3. Prince Peju Akinyemi - General Secretary.
4. Chief Adesegun Ogundeji - Director Publicity.
5. Chief Musiliu Animashaun - Treasurer.
6. Mr Kehinde Jumbo - Fin. Secretary.
7. Dr. Abiodun Fatai-Abatan - Youth Rep.
8. Mr Olayiwola Atoloye - Asst. Gen. Secretary.

Those in attendance also includes, HRM Oba Engr. Bashir Aremu Sotonwa, Sekumade of Ipakodo, Prof Ade Wahab, Chairman Ikorodu West LCDA, Princess Olajumoke Jumbo-Ademehin, High Chiefs, amongst sons and daughters of Ipakodo community.
