As the holy month of Ramadan progresses, an erudite legislator and majority leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade, has again held another historic annual Ramadan lecture in Ikorodu. The lecture tagged with the theme, ‘THE GREATNESS OF ALLAH’ and emphasized on the reasons why we should not allow anything to apprehend our good character and fear of Allah.

The lecture which had in attendance thousands of fasting Muslim faithfuls, was held at Hon Agunbiade's constituency office and had the Islamic scholar, Dr. Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Akeem as the guest speaker, while the premises was filled to the brim.

The guest lecturer, Chief Imam, Lagos State Central Mosque, who also doubled as the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Dr. Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Akeem, enjoined all not to compromise the fear of Allah and to obey His commandments.

"All Powers belongs to Allah, it's only Him that can determine someone's destiny", he said. Dr Abdul-Akeem further enjoined all to love one another and place Allah first in all ratification.

The Islamic Scholar further applauded Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade for his steadfastness in time of socio-political challenges and his resilience towards the development of Ikorodu Division.

While speaking with MegaXpression Community Magazine, Hon. Agunbiade, thanked his constituents for the unflinching support bestowed upon him so far and more so, his lieutenants, particularly his amiable wife, Alhaja Tairat Agunbiade, for her roles in nurturing his dream to reality.

He later returned the glory to Almighty Allah, for His role and guidance. Hon Agunbiade also implored his constituents to maintain peaceful coexistence and love one another.

This year's lecture witnessed the presence of His Royal Majesty, Oba Richard Ogunsanya, Olubeshe of Ibeshe land, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Nurudeen Sholaja-Saka and a lot of Islamic and political leaders in attendance.

The Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, Fadilat Sheikh Olowooribi led the league of Imams from across Ikorodu Division to the venue.

While the political leaders present include the APC Chairman, Ikorodu Central, Alhaji Taiwo Longe, Alhaji R.I Jinodu, Hon Mattew Adesanya, Chairman Ikorodu LG, Hon Wasiu Adesina, amongst other party leaders.

Others are the State Vice Chairman of NURTW, Alhaji (Otunba) Daisi Waliu, Councillors, Associations of Market women /men led by Alhaja Taofikat Allison (Iyaloja General Ikorodu Division), CDC's chairmen while several CDAs where also present at the programme.
