BABAJIMI BENSON FACILITATES SCHOOL LEARNING MATERIALS TO PUPILS, STUDENTS OF IKORODU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY. "There is need to support the people at the grassroots," JB reveals.
It was an eventful occasion on Wednesday July 17, when Hon. Babajimi Benson, Member, House of Reps., representing Ikorodu federal constituecy, contributed significantly to strengthening of education in the purpose of enhancing adequate learning for pupils and students of Ikorodu Division.
Thirteen (13) primary and six (6) secondary schools were selected across Ikorodu Division and had the privilege of partaking in learning facilities donated by the erudite legislator. The beneficiaries include:
1. St. John Anglican Primary school, Imota.
2. Methodist Primary, Onobu, Imota.
3. Methodist Primary School, Agura.
4. Temidire Primary School, Ikorodu.
5. Yewa Junior Secondary School, Ikorodu.
6. St. Saviour Anglican Primary, Igbaga, Ikorodu.
7 Community Primary School, Odonla, Ikorodu.
8. Isiu Junior secondary School, Isiu.
9. Togede joye Primary School, Ojokoro, Ikorodu.
10. Itowolo primary School, Ikorodu.
11. Community Junior High Sch, Isawo.
12. Community Primary, Abule Eko, Ijede.
13. Luwasa junior High School, Ijede.
14. Hamadiyah primary school, Ijede.
15. Anglican Primary School, Ijede.
16. AUD Primary School, Igbogbo.
17. LGA Primary School, Baiyeku.
18. Zumratul Islamiyah Primary School, Igbogbo.
19. Ansarudeen Junior Secondary School, Imota.
The second term legislator, Hon Benson, who was ably represented by Coordinators and some members of iCARE Foundation, stated to MegaXpression Community Magazine, through his DG, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, that there is need to support the people at the grassroots, especially the young pupils and students with the necessary educational materials.
”One major promise I made during my electioneering campaign was to embark on projects that will boost education in Ikorodu federal constituency, which is being fulfilled today in another form different from the previous educational projects I have done in the past,” he said.
Some of the educational materials given to the pupils include school bags, thousands of higher education books, hundreds of text books, among others.
The Headmistress of Ansarudeen primary school which happens to be first partaker of the donation, spoke on behalf of the school and staff that they are very grateful to Hon. Babajimi Benson and it's iCARE Team for the commitment and dedication of books to the school and prayed for him to Prosper.
"The books donated to the school will go a long way to improve and enrich the quality of the children lives." Mr. Adetilola Shakiru, Parent Forum's Chairman of Zumratul Islamiyyah Junior Grammar School Igbogbo said.
Also, Ogunkile Opeoluwa, Head Girl, Z.I.J.G.S praised Hon Babajimi Benson for the kind gesture, prays for the Lord's goodness never to depart from him. "Thank you for the Bags sir, continue to soar, the sky is your limit," stated Dauda Hadijat of LG primary school Bayeku.
The school head, Mrs D.O Faleke of LG primary school Bayeku, Vice Principal, Mrs Osunyale Adedotun of Isawo Comprehensive junior high school, LGA Chairman, Alhaji Olakitan Adekunle, P.F leader Mr Seun Oladeji of Togedejoye primary school, H.M, Mrs Oladapo Esther and Mrs Omitogun Olufunsho of same school, gave kudos to Hon Babajimi Benson and iCARE team.
They expressed gratefulness towards the generousity of Hon Benson over the past years, as well as his dedication to donating books and other learning materials to Schools. "Your contributions is essential in changing the students lives for better," P.F. Zonal leader said.
The headmistress of Community primary school, Itowolo Ikorodu, also gave kudos to the lawmaker for choosing the school as one of the beneficiaries,” We are very greatful for this gesture by Hon Babajimi Benson, for bringing this kind of initiative to our school, he is indeed a caring father to us all’ she said.
A primary four pupil of the school, master Bolu Odunmosi also showered emcomiums on the lawmaker, "we thank the lawmaker for giving us these materials because we truly need them to do well in our class, I pray that God will continue to provide for him more’ he prayed.
