SUCCOR AS OYETOLA DANKUWO GIVES WRITING MATERIALS, TOYS TO PUPILS OF ELEJA PRIMARY SCHOOL IGBOGBO. | Shakiru Seidu. ...Repairs their water system, Provides School Library and named after her late Dad.

An Igbogbo daughter and American based Educator, Evang. Oyetola Dankuwo, has donated writing materials to UAMC Eleja Primary school in Igbogbo,  Lagos State. She made the donation in the name of her late dad who also attended the school, teached and later become the Headmaster of the School, Mr Emmanuel Omotayo Dankuwo.

Addressing MegaXpression community magazine, Oyetola Dankuwo said the measure was aimed at enhancing the performances of the pupils and assists parents. According to her, laying a good foundation for these pupils is very important, especially at the primary level, saying that it will give her the joy to see the children grow to useful adults in Igbogbo.

“I am not a politician and I am not doing this because of any personal interest, this has been my tradition to support my community whether in Nigeria or not. We need to support the parents in our own little way and reduce illiteracy among our people”, she said.

Oyetola also reduced the suffering of pupils and teachers by repairing their water system which have not been working for so long. She has also commenced provision of school library with books, which is said to be named after her late dad, Mr E.O. Dankuwo.

Responding, the Headteacher of the school stated that the donation was timely as some pupils come to school without writing materials, saying the gesture has impacted positively on the lives of the pupils through their performances.
