LAGOS STATE CHAPTER OF NULGE CONVERGES IN IKORODU TO DELIBERATE ON MEASURES FOR EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIP IN 2-DAY VALEDICTORY RETREAT. "It's to enhance quality service delivery at the local level," Pelaye reveals.
The Prestige Hotel and Suite Ibeshe, in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, was full to capacity on Thursday, July 18, when the Lagos State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) held its maiden Valedictory Retreat, urging members of NULGE in Lagos State to remain committed to quality service delivery.
In his eloquent welcome address, the host and Deputy NULGE President, Comrade Pelaye Jamiu Okanlawon, said the concepts of the Valedictory retreat is born out of the desire to appreciate and celebrate the contribution of the outgoing executives towards the upliftment of the union in taken it to the next level.
"The retreat will feature robust interactive session on health related issues, learning more on the UFIU and getting update on the newly introduced nulge electoral guidelines," he added.
While addressing the large congregation of NULGE Executives, the State President, Comrade Afolabi Semako Ajose, expressed gratitude and the uncommon working relationship among the NULGE executives in Lagos State.
"It is another immense landmark achievement added to our soaring record of performance driven leadership style, geared unrelenting purposeful piloting of NULGE in Lagos State to an enviable heights worthy of emulation to all. We have by this, made indelible engraving record of performance that will stand the test of time. This is because, it is the first time in history ever that a befitting Valedictory Retreat of this great magnitude is organized in honor of all Branch NULGE Executives," Ajose said.
"As a servant, with purposeful and large heart of thinking outside the box, our gathering premised upon the following cardinal focal points:
1. To serve as farewell and passing out gathering of all Branch Executives in Lagos State.
2. To appreciate and collectively celebrate both individual and group achievements of rendering selfless service at various Branch level.
3. To examine critically, consciously dissect and proffer workable solutions to the challenges emanating from the newly introduced NIGERIA FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE UNIT operations at the Local Government level.
4. To serve as a platform of collections of ideas in enhancing a fruitful and productive NULGE in Lagos State, he explained.
Comrade Paul Akinlure, Comrade Balogun Tawakalitu, Comrade Balogun Fatai, Comrade Adeniyi Akeem, Comrade Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa, amongst other Comrades across the 20 LGs and 37 LCDAs are in attendance.
