The Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Ikorodu, founded in 1995 is 25 years old. At a book launch on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, inside Patrick Bolaji Methodist Cathedral, Ita-Elewa Ikorodu, as part of the one week celebration, the Bishop, Diocese of Ikorodu, Rt. Rev. Samson O. Osundina, Conference Lay President Emeritus, Sir (Dr.) Babatunde O. Benson, SAN, and wife, Lay President, Sir David O.A. Sunmoni, Otunba Engr. Akinola Awomodu, Sir (Otunba) Ayodele Elesho, Dr. Omotunde Ogunlaja, Sir Engr. R.O. Shoderu, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, among other distinguished personalities were in attendance at the book launch. The Bishop, Diocese of Ikorodu, Rt. Rev. Samson O. Osundina said the Diocese created in 1995 with the inclusion of Igbogbo, Okeletu, Agbowa, Ogijo special area, Somolu and Ikorodu Circuits.
