'WE STAND' FOUNDATION PALLIES iCARE FOODBANK, GIVES SUCCOUR TO HUNDREDS VULNERABLE IN IKORODU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY. It's designed to prevent my constituents from going to bed without food, Hon Babajimi Benson reveals.

Hundreds of individuals and vulnerable families in need across Ikorodu federal Constituency were as usual on Saturday benefited from the January 2020 edition of iCARE Foodbank programme, an initiative of iCare Foundation of Hon. Babajimi Adekoge Benson, MHR. A nonprofit charitable organization that buys food and grocery products and redistributes the items in a bag called ‘APO AANU or ‘MERCY BAG’ to less privileges.

But this time around, 'WE STAND' Foundation, a N.G.O with same vision, pallied with the iCARE foodbank to give succour to hundreds of people in Ikorodu Division.

While addressing the beneficiaries, the DG iCARE Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwoola, welcomed all and prayed for financial breakthrough in the life of the beneficiaries. "I pray you will all be in position to cater for someone else in the coming future", he said.

Also speaking at the uncommon gesture was the wife of the initiator, Mrs Olajumoke Benson, saying 'We Stand' foundation is partnering with iCARE Foodbank to help crush hunger in Ikorodu federal Constituency.

"We are grateful to 'We Stand' Foundation for partnering with iCARE foodbank by giving varieties of food to vulnerable today. We have been doing this alone for the last four years on monthly basis, feeding families across Ikorodu federal constituency and we hope to do more", Mrs Benson said.

Mr kunle and Ms Ajoke from 'We Stand' Foundation, also in the same vein applauded the initiative of Hon Babajimi Adekoge Benson, assuring to do more in ensuring hunger is reduced to the barest minimum.

Hon. Babajimi Benson, while speaking with MegaXpression correspondent, said the initiative was designed to prevent his constituents, particularly the aged ones from going to bed without food. "What we are doing is to support our people and enable them to feed themselves for a while," JB, as he's fondly called said.

Shortly after the pleasant remarks, the distribution of the food items began with smiles of relief on the faces of the beneficiaries.
