REPS. BABAJIMI BENSON VISITS 15TH ONIRU, OBA OMOGBOLAHAN LAWAL, PRAYS FOR HIS REIGN TO BE PEACEFUL WITH ABUNDANT PROSPERITY IN IRU LAND.

The House of Reps. Member, representing Ikorodu federal Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Defence, Hon. Babajimi Adekoge Benson, was on Saturday visited and congratulated the new Oniru of Iru, HRM Oba Abdul-Wasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, on his selection and confirmation as the new monarch of Iru land, Lagos.

In a statement made available to MegaXpression Community News immediately after his visit to Iru Palace, Benson said the choice of Oba Omogbolahan is good for the people of Iru land, stating that with his years of experience and service in the public sector, as well as his connection both locally and internationally, it is expected to work for the continuous development and bring more prosperity to the people of Iru land.

According to the Lawmaker, "many a time, we transverse life making friends along the way without knowing which head will wear a crown. For me, I have been blessed with Princes who are turning Kings. These are friends I have made about twenty years ago, who would have known they will be Kings in my lifetime. To God be the praise and adorations.

"To the latest addition to the Royal throne, All hail the new Oniru of Iru Land, HRM Oba Abdul- Wasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, The Abisogun II, my friend, my King."

Benson therefore prayed for God’s guidance and protection over every action that Oba Omogbolahan may take on the throne. "May your reign be peaceful with abundant prosperity to the people of Iru Land and its environs," the lawmaker prayed.

HRM Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, Acting Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms Ruth Abisola Olusanya, wives of Oniru of Iru land and Elegushi of Ikate kingdom, Olori Mariam Lawal and Olori Sekinat Aramide Elegushi amongst other Royal Heads were equally in attendance.

HRM Oba Abdul-Wasiu Omogbolahan Lawal ascended the throne as the 15th Oniru following the demise of HRM Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru in September 2019.
