Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG) has inducted a respected philanthropist and erudite Lawmaker, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson MHR, Chairman House Committee on Defence, into its Hall of Fame.

The induction, which formally took place on December 8, 2023 at Ikorodu Town Hall, witnessed the presence of Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Imam Sheikh Sefiudeen Olowooribi, Builder Olusesan Daini, Chairman Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, Chairman Ijede LCDA, Prince Wasiu Agoro, Chairman Imota LCDA, Builder Adeola Adebisi Banjo, Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA, Prince Segun Shopitan, Mayor Muhydeen Sanwoola and other members of iCARE Family.

The Chairman, Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group, IDRDG, and Member of Governance Advisory Council GAC, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, lauded the contributions of Jimi Benson to the rapid development of Ikorodu Division, noting that JB's contributions to the growth and development of Ikorodu Division is unprecedented.

Ogunlewe further urged other sons and daughters of Ikorodu not to relent in their sundry contributions to the development of the Division through individual and group intervention as well as leading by example.

He said, ‘’In terms of proficiency in legislation, and community development, Benson has proven to be sagacious, ingenious and possess a rare and exquisite; equipping him for the immense and outstanding services he has hitherto rendered to the people of Ikorodu Division."

‘’Today, the Division is reaping the dividends of his dedication, brilliance and effectiveness as a top-notch Patriotic Developer for Nation Building," he added.

In his remarks, the articulate Lawmaker, Rep. Babajimi Benson, expressed gratitude to Senator Kingsley Ogunlewe led IDRDG, for considering him worthy among giants. He acknowledged the historical significance of Ikorodu and the diverse range of accomplished individuals that it has produced.

He highlighted the importance of Ikorodu as a place of learning for students at all levels. While recognising the induction of giant personalities in various fields, including medicine, politics, fashion, and even the richest woman in Africa. Adding that it's a great honour for being included among these remarkable individuals.

Benson assured of doing his best to ensure the maintenance, development, and revitalization of this cherished location for future generations.
