The Senator, representating Lagos East Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Industries, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru FCA, has received commendations and applauds from members of his Constituents, for putting smiles on their faces at this festive period.

The DoingGood Senator was on Wednesday distributed over 8,500 food packs, which contains Rice, Beans and Garri, and was distributed to less privileged people across the 98 Wards of Lagos East Senatorial District, to uplift their living conditions in Christmas period.

Responding to MegaXpression Media, one of his Aides, Alhaji R.I. Jinodu, said this edition is the third one and it's committed to put succour to not fewer than 8,500 needy, vulnerable, Widows, Unemployed Youths, among others, across the 98 Wards of Lagos East Senatorial District.

“As such, I appeal to other public office holders to emulate such commitment in order to encourage and support President Tinubu’s dedication towards alleviating the hardship within the society,” Jinodu opined.

Adeyanju Famuyiwa, a resident of Agura Iponmi of Ward F, Ikorodu, made his commendation also said to MegaXpression Media that the gesture is indeed a great one, particularly at this festive period.

“We are in a Christmas period, a time in which everyone needs to engage in one or more activities that will attract better reward for our needs.

“Senator Abiru has been doing a lot, following its capacity to bring succour to the people of Lagos East Senatorial, by providing food packs to us periodically," he stated.

Another beneficiary from Ward A, Ikorodu, Mrs Abibat Oyewole, thanked Senator Abiru for the gift of food. She said until she came for the pack, herself and family have nothing to eat for the Christmas, noting the Abiru has no doubt, put joy in their home.

The distribution were done across the 5 local governments and 11 LCDAs of Lagos East Senatorial District. Other beneficiaries include CDAs, Muslims and Christian Communities, APC Stalwarts, and many more.
